Reality TV personality Jenelle Evans revealed that her daughter, Ensley Jolie Eason, 8, was rushed to the hospital earlier this week following a sudden health scare that quickly unfolded.
Evans, 34, took to social media to give fans an update on her youngest child’s condition, sharing both her concern and relief as the situation developed.
Evans Shared the News to Social Media
Evans initially posted a photo of Ensley resting in a hospital bed, on her Instagram Stories writing, “That escalated quickly,” a caption that captured the unexpected nature of the incident.
She made the post on Thursday, January 15.
Within hours, the former “Teen Mom” star provided more clarity, confirming that her daughter had been diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and would stay overnight for monitoring and treatment.
Evans shared an image of herself in a brown hoodie, as the reality TV star was with her daughter at the hospital.
Ensley is the youngest of Evans’ three children.
Evans Got Divorced in 2025
She shares her with her ex-husband, David Eason, whom she divorced in 2025 after a lengthy separation process.
At the time of their divorce, Evans gave a statement to PEOPLE on the end of their union.
“After a really long and draining process, my divorce from David is official,” she said.
Evans added “This chapter has been heavy, but I’m walking away from it with clarity, strength and so much love for my kids. My focus is on them and our future and I’m just thankful to finally have peace and a fresh start.”
The couple welcomed Ensley in January 2017, and she has occasionally appeared in Evans’ social media posts and videos over the years, offering glimpses of family life that have evolved since her MTV days.
In addition to Ensley, Evans has two boys from prior relationships.
Evans has frequently documented milestones and challenges involving her children — including Ensley’s school activities, special occasions and earlier developmental moments — as part of her public persona, maintaining a connection with followers who have watched her journey since “Teen Mom 2.”
Upper respiratory infections are common in children and can range from mild to moderate in severity, often requiring rest, hydration and medical oversight when symptoms escalate or cause breathing difficulties.
In Ensley’s case, medical staff elected to keep her overnight for observation and care, a precaution that appeared to reassure her mother and her online audience as the situation progressed.
While specific long‑term details about Ensley’s condition have not been publicly shared beyond the initial diagnosis.
