Beloved Rock Singer’s Husband Survives the Fatal Crash That Took Her Life: ‘A True Miracle’

Rising rock star Ann Everton, best known as one half of the experimental rock duo Darsombra, has died at 43 following a tragic multi-vehicle crash in upstate New York. According to the Sun, the accident occurred on October 3 while she was traveling with her husband and bandmate, Brian Daniloski, to the band’s first U.S. tour show.

Miracle: Family Confirms Husband’s Miraculous Recovery

In a recent update shared by Everton’s family, Daniloski’s recovery has been described as remarkable.

“Hi all. Thank you all for your incredible generosity and support. This is absolutely amazing,” the family wrote on a GoFundMe page. “Brian is hopefully headed home today or tomorrow, and we’re anxious to welcome him back. He’s been blown away by your kindness and warm words, and memories of Ann. It’s comforting to know how much of an impact she made in this world, just by being herself.”

Garrett said the fundraiser was created to support Daniloski’s recovery, adding, “We know Ann would have wanted nothing more than to ensure Brian is cared for during this difficult time.”

According to The Sun, the couple’s van collided with a police car that had stopped with its emergency lights flashing. Everton was pronounced dead at the scene, while Daniloski and the trooper were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Everton’s brother-in-law, Jon Garrett, confirmed the heartbreaking news to Daily Star, saying, “On behalf of the Everton family, it is with deep sadness that I share the heartbreaking news that my sister-in-law, Ann Everton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon following a car accident.”

“She was an incredibly warm and generous soul,” he added, calling her “a true artist” devoted to creativity in all its forms.

A Creative & Spiritual Partnership

Everton and Daniloski spent nearly two decades together, both as a married couple and artistic collaborators. As Darsombra, they described themselves as a “trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock duo,” blending psychedelic soundscapes with multimedia visuals.

“They were a perfect fit for each other,” said Everton’s sister-in-law, Nicole Evanshaw, as per CBS. “They fed off each other’s creativity. They were a partnership that so few people got to experience.”

Outside of music, the couple also shared their love of wellness through yoga instruction, hosting free community classes through Baltimore City Parks and Recreation.

Tributes Pour In for a ‘True Artist’

Messages of love and remembrance continue to pour in from fans and loved ones. “It’s unfathomable what happened to them,” Evanshaw told CBS. “Just the first day out, just on the way. She was vibrant, energetic, and creative. So creative.”

Reflecting on Everton’s lasting legacy, Evanshaw added, “I think her legacy lies in how she loved openly and freely. Her legacy is in her acceptance, the joy she brought, and the love she shared.”

As Daniloski continues to recover, fans and fellow artists alike are honoring Everton’s life, her art, and the light she shared with everyone who knew her.
