Britney Spears’ Instagram account went inactive on Sunday, November 2, following weeks of emotional posts that left fans concerned. When users searched for the 43-year-old singer’s profile, a message appeared stating that the “page may have been removed.”
The move came shortly after Spears shared a series of videos and cryptic captions about her sons, Jayden James, 19, and Sean Preston, 20, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
The posts prompted a wave of concern from fans, who noticed that Spears had also turned off comments on several recent uploads.
Fans React to Alarming Videos & Messages
A video Spears posted on October 7 showed her with visible bruises on her arms and bandages wrapped around her wrists. In the caption, she explained that she had fallen stairs and mentioned missing her sons after they returned to Hawaii to live with Federline, 47.
“My boys had to leave and go back to Maui,” she wrote. “This is the way I express myself and pray through art … father who art in heaven … I’m not here for concern or pity, I just want to be a good woman and be better.”
She added, “Psss I fell down the stairs at my friend’s house … it was horrible. It snaps out now and then, not sure if it’s broken, but for now it’s snapped in !!! Thank u god.”
Fans reacted emotionally to the post. One wrote: “Darling, blink twice if you need help 💕”
Another comment read: “We are fans and we wish you the best!! May you get better soon and smile again. ❤️”
Britney Opens Up About Past Trauma & Conservatorship
GettyIn another post from October 19, Spears appeared to reference her four months in rehab in 2018, during her 13-year conservatorship. “Brain damage happened to me,” she wrote, as people reported.
She called it one of the most challenging chapters of her life. The post, which has now disappeared after the account was deactivated, also drew parallels between her experience and the film “Maleficent.” “Her wings were holy so the king couldn’t take them … not that this has any relevance with me, but I do find it incredibly interesting,” she wrote.
She later reflected on the isolation she endured during her conservatorship, writing, “For four months I no longer had my private door and was forced to not use my feet or body to go anywhere.”
Britney Responds to Kevin Federline’s Memoir
GettySpears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline, recently released a memoir titled “You Thought You Knew,” which includes allegations about their marriage, her parenting, and her relationship with their sons.
In response, Spears posted on X, calling out Federline for “constantly gaslighting” her and profiting off her pain. “To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one as they profit off my pain…” she wrote.
Her representative told People that the singer’s focus remains on her children. “All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism,” the statement read.
“I just want to be a good woman and be better,” Spears wrote before her Instagram went dark, a message that has since taken on deeper meaning for fans.
