Fifth Harmony Reactivates X Account Amid Comeback Rumors

Girl group, Fifth Harmony, just broke the internet… again. Earlier today (August 31, 2025), the group’s official X (formerly Twitter) account reactivated for the first time since July 2018, kicking off a follow spree under the hashtag #FifthHarmonyFollowSpree.

Fans immediately freaked out, wondering if the account had been hacked; or if this was a long-awaited hint of a reunion. At the time of this writing, the post has racked up over 15,000 comments and 2.3 million views.

Back on Social Media After Seven Years

Fifth Harmony, formed in 2012 on “The X Factor USA,” a singing competition show created by British producer Simon Cowell and his company Syco Entertainment. Their group originally included Camila Cabello, Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui

Cabello left in 2016, and the remaining four continued for a while before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2018 so everyone could focus on solo projects. The X reactivation has fans feeling a wave of nostalgia, with plenty of Harmonizers excitedly reminiscing about their favorite era.

“I don’t understand what’s happening… but I think I like it,” one fan admitted, perfectly summing up the collective confusion and excitement.

Another wrote a message showing just how long some fans have been waiting for this moment.

The excitement was palpable, and it didn’t take long for fans to start speculating about what’s next.

Reunion Rumors Heat Up

Earlier this year, The Hollywood Reporter published an exclusive that Fifth Harmony was “in talks to reunite.” Rumors suggest a possible 2026 reunion tour (without Camila Cabello) to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their hit single “Work From Home” and the album 7/27. Though nothing is officially confirmed yet, there are hints that the group may also drop a documentary or other surprise projects to mark the comeback.

Fans couldn’t hide their excitement. “WAITTTT ARE Y’ALL REUNITING LIKE FR? IT WASN’T JUST A RUMOR?” one fan asked, while another simply screamed, “MY GOD THEY ARE COMING BACK.”

Others chimed in with a mix of humor and disbelief, like this person:

Harmonizers Are Ready

The follow spree itself became a mini-celebration, with fans tweeting everything from GIFs of the group to countdowns for potential announcements. It seems like the fandom is more than ready to welcome Fifth Harmony back, whether it’s a full reunion, a tour, or just more social media teasing.

Just a reminder: the group hasn’t confirmed any details (yet). But this sudden activity has fans buzzing with hope. With the 10th anniversary of 7/27 coming up, it seems like Fifth Harmony might finally be gearing up to return to the spotlight. And Harmonizers everywhere are here for it.
