Halsey has been open about her health issues in the past, and has now once again given fans an update about what she’s been going through.
In June 2024, the singer took to Instagram to tell her fans: “In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life.”
She once again used social media to update her fans on Thursday, September 25, but this time used TikTok to share her message.
“Just coming on here to give you guys a speed round of updates,” she said in the video, adding that she “just did another few sessions of chemo” and “had a new port placed.”
On her chest and collar bone, you can see medical tape for her port which the singer points to at one point in her recording.
Halsey Sent Love to a Fan Who’s Husband Is Going Through the Same Thing
GettyAlthough Halsey was offering her fans an update about her own health, she was also willing to acknowledge a follower whose spouse is experiencing the same journey.
“My hubs does the same kinda treatment for lupus and blood cancer, how do you do it? How do you find the energy for your shows? He gets treatment and he’s wiped like can’t stand for a week,” the follower wrote. They added, “You are amazing✨❤️.”
Halsey responded, saying, “I also can’t stand for like a week 😭 or more! You guys see me between treatment where I have energy. The time flies by when I’m recovering so it doesn’t seem like as long, but it’s definitely a while.”
She added, “Shout out to your hubby for being a badass and sharing duel diagnosis with me! Much love to both of you! 🤍🤍🤍🤍”
Halsey Had a ‘Rocky Start’ When Dealing With Her Health Issues
GettyHalsey may be able to manage her health issues these days but, according to the star, it hasn’t always been that way.
“After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors,” she wrote in her June 2024 Instagram post.
“After 2 years, I’m feeling better and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to,” she continued. “I can’t wait to get back where I belong: With you all 🤍 Singing and screaming my heart out.”
