Taylor Swift is checking in! Swift has touched down in California to support her best friend, Selena Gomez, as she prepares to marry Benny Blanco. According to photos published by TMZ, the singer arrived at Santa Barbara Airport on Friday afternoon, where her team formed a wall of umbrellas to shield her from the cameras.
Fans only caught a glimpse of her maroon dress and elbow before she was ushered into a waiting SUV that whisked her away to a private rental, secured especially for the wedding weekend.
Gift in Hand & Tight Security
Swift didn’t arrive empty-handed. According to TMZ, one member of her team carried a large white box, believed to be a gift for Gomez and Blanco. The security detail, which used umbrellas as cover, echoed the pop star’s Super Bowl LVIII arrival tactic in 2024, when she used a similar method to avoid cameras.
Sources told Page Six that Swift will stay in a private house near the secret wedding venue. “Her security team feels it’s better than a hotel,” one insider explained.
Wedding Celebrations Begin in Montecito
Gomez and Blanco’s wedding celebrations kicked off Friday night with a rehearsal dinner, followed by the ceremony on Saturday at a private Montecito estate. The couple is hosting more than 170 guests, with lavish tents, cocktail lounges, and gourmet setups being built at the venue.
Security and secrecy remain top priorities.
“Guests still do not know exact locations for the rehearsal or the wedding,” a source told Us Weekly. Attendees will be shuttled from their hotels to the undisclosed venues.
Guest List, Bridesmaids & Event Planner
The star-studded guest list includes Paris Hilton and Gomez’s “Only Murders in the Building” co-stars Martin Short and Ashley Park.
Event planner Mindy Weiss, known for high-profile celebrations such as Travis Barker’s proposal to Kourtney Kardashian, is overseeing the arrangements.
Travis Kelce, Swift’s fiancé, may not be in attendance due to the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Meanwhile, Gomez’s bridesmaids will include her longtime friends Raquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook, Courtney Lopez, and cousin Priscilla Marie, who all joined her Cabo San Lucas bachelorette trip earlier this year.
Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37, announced their engagement in December 2024 after more than a year of dating. At the time, Gomez shared a photo of her ring with the caption, “Forever begins now,” while Blanco wrote, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”
