Michael Jackson’s sister and daughter, Janet and Paris Jackson, hugged it out at the Tom Ford fashion show on October 1, 2025, suggesting that everything is good between the aunt and niece after previously hitting a few ups and downs that were documented by the paparazzi, who follow the famous family’s every move.
Paris, 27, was seen wrapping her arms around Janet as the “Control” singer smiled. In another shot, the relatives walked side by side. Both women rocked all black to the Tom Ford fashion show, which took place as part of Paris Fashion Week. Janet accessorized with large gold hoops and wore her long braids wrapped into a top knot. Paris wore her sun-kissed locks flowing around her shoulders in gently tousled waves, and punctuated her floor-length black dress with pointy-toed heels that tied around her ankles.
Paris included some of the shots of herself and Janet in an Instagram post she shared after the show, further promoting the idea that all is well between the pair.

Paris Jackson was publicly seen on television for the first time at age 11, when she bravely spoke to the crowd at Michael Jackson’s televised memorial service on July 7, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Paris took the stage along with her older brother, Prince, who did not say anything, and Bigi, who was seven at the time.
The children were surrounded onstage by their father’s siblings, including Janet and LaToya. Paris stepped to the microphone and said, “I just wanted to say ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine. And I just wanted to say I love him so much.” She then broke down in tears before burying her face in Janet’s arms.

Paris famously released a statement in 2019 after being absent from Janet’s Billboard Music Icon induction. Page Six says the “Hit Your Knees” singer wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time, “Dear social media followers, friends, stalkers, lovers and haters, and fellow moonwalkers: Please do not tell me/demands/try to control how I handle my relationship with the people in my life, specifically my family.”
She went on, “As amazing as things can be, it is no one’s business but ours. I understand that some of you feel some sort of connection or need to be a part of our lives considering you watched us grow up. However, I am handling my situation exactly how my father did. And I am happy keeping it that way. I will always have love and respect for my family. ALWAYS.”
