There’s no doubt that Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are best known for their music. However, fans will now be able to watch the former One Direction stars appear in their very own Netflix series.
The show will take the two on a road trip across the United States and feature the duo “discuss[ing] their lives and memories of being in the boyband — as well as tragic bandmate Liam Payne — during their mammoth voyage,” according to The Star.
Expected to come out in 2026, it will mark 10 years after the boy band broke up. In the time since, both Tomlinson and Malik have spent a fair amount of their time in the U.S. due to the fact that they share children with women who live in America.
Tomlinson shares a son with stylist Briana Jungwirth, while Malik has a daughter with model Gigi Hadid. In fact, Malik moved to New York in 2018 to be with Hadid (who he’s no longer with) and now lives in Pennsylvania.
As for the Netflix series, it’s expected to take them across the country while creating a buzz among fans.
The Show Is Expecting to ‘Whip…Fans Into a Frenzy’
There’s no doubt that fans will be excited for Tomlinson and Malik’s new show; however, that may be putting it mildly.
“This will be an absolutely huge show for Netflix and is guaranteed to whip 1D’s global army of fans into a frenzy,” a source told The Star.
“Although the idea of British boyband members doing a show about travelling across America sounds random, most of them now have strong links Stateside,” the source continued. “And it’s likely to be a chance for some serious soul-searching and deep discussions about the incredible journey the group have already been on since they were formed on The X Factor 15 years ago.”
Fans Are Already Excited About the New Show
Getty“The two singers were recently pictured together in a bar in New York during their travels, but onlookers were oblivious to the fact they were making the Netflix show,” according to The Star. Well, fans are now well aware of the fact that the two are making a show together, and they’re thrilled to say the least.
“This is the single best news I have ever heard 😭😭❤️❤️,” one person left on The Hollywood Reporter’s Instagram post about the new Netflix series.
Someone else wrote, “Zouis documentary is gonna heal and break me at the same time😭”
