Jessica Simpson is moving on!
The “Dukes of Hazzard” star is reportedly in her first relationship since her split from Eric Johnson. According to TMZ, Simpson has been dating Nashville-based music roadie Thomas Eisenhood for three months.
Simpson and Eisenhood met through mutual friends in the music industry. Although sources told TMZ that Simpson and her new boyfriend hit it off quickly, the “With You” singer has not yet introduced her love interest to her three kids, Maxwell Drew, Ace Knute and Birdie Mae.
Jessica Simpson Dating First Boyfriend in 16 Years
Since her split from Johnson, Simpson has remained single — making Eisenhood her first boyfriend in 16 years. She and Johnson began dating in 2010 and became engaged after six months of dating, later marrying in 2014, People reported. They welcomed their firstborn, Maxwell, in 2012, followed by Ace in 2013 and Birdie in 2019.
Earlier this year in January, TMZ caught up with Simpson outside of LAX, where they asked her if she would be interested in becoming the next “Bachelorette.”
Simpson responded, “I have options, I’m good.” When the reporter noted how high the ratings would be if she starred in the hit ABC dating show, the songstress said, “I don’t care about that.”
Jessica Simpson Says Her Kids Will Always Come First
In July 2025, seven months into announcing her separation from Johnson, Simpson was heard saying in a video obtained by the Daily Mail, “It’s a rough road in the dating world. I mean, I’m not getting on the apps yet.” When asked if she’d rather be set up by a loved one or meet someone on a dating app, Simpson responded, “I would love for a friend to set me up. Are you kidding me?”
When she and Johnson, a former tight end in the NFL, revealed they were ending their marriage, Simpson said in a statement to People that she and Johnson had already been living separately before sharing the news publicly. She also emphasized the importance of putting their three kids first.
“Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson said. “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”
