Justin Bieber Lands Seven-Figure Deal to Headline Coachella – The Biggest Payday in the Festival’s History

Following the release of his back-to-back chart-topping albums “Swag” and “Swag II” this summer, Justin Bieber will officially make his triumphant return to the stage as a headliner at the Coachella Music Festival in April 2026.

According to Rolling Stone, Bieber “directly” negotiated the high-profile gig, working with festival promoter Goldenvoice to land a spot alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G at next year’s two-weekend event. Even without an agent at his side, the publication reported that Bieber landed a record-breaking seven-figure deal, establishing the “Daises” singer as the highest-paid Coachella headliner in the festival’s history.

“It’s a groundbreaking move for a headliner, and it’s something he built entirely on his own,” a source close to the Canadian singer-songwriter told Rolling Stone. “Between headlining Coachella and the success of ‘Swag,’ it’s clear this is the start of an exciting new era for Justin – one where he’s fully in the driver’s seat.”

The upcoming festival will see Bieber’s first solo concert performance since the artist cancelled his “Justice” World Tour in 2022 due to health concerns.

“Bieber is an unshakable artist who has stood up against the grain and fought for his independence,” the inside source added. “His 2026 Coachella performance won’t just be a headlining set, but a once-in-a-generation spectacle from a once-in-a-generation pop icon.”

How Much Will Bieber Earn for Headlining Coachella?

While neither Justin Bieber nor Coachella have confirmed how much the “Yukon” singer will rake in over the course of his two-weekend gig at next year’s festival, insiders report Justin’s fee at north of $10 million – $5 million per weekend.

On the surface, Bieber’s fee is on par with past high-profile headliners. For example, Beyonce reportedly earned between $8 million and $12 million for her 2018 Coachella appearance, while Tyler the Creator was estimated to have earned upwards of $10 million for his 2024 performances.

The Weeknd, who appeared as one of the festival’s headliners in 2018, is said to have been paid roughly $8.5 million, while Ariana Grande raked in approximately $8 million the following year.

While Bieber’s fee is on par, and even lower than some of the reported sums of his Coachella predecessors, the star’s income will benefit from not having to “siphon off” an agency commission. The bolstered earnings come as the result of the festival’s promoter, Goldenvoice, belonging to the same parent company – AEG – that has been Bieber’s touring partner for the entirety of his music career.

Who Else is Performing at Coachella 2026?

Justin Bieber will perform on Saturday, April 11 and Saturday, April 18 during the 2026 Coachella festival. Joining the Grammy-winner as headliners are pop-icon Sabrina Carpenter (April 10/17) and Colombian singer Karol G (April 12/19).

Other notable additions to this year’s line-up of musical acts includes the likes of Teddy Swims, KATSEYE, Foster the People, Addison Rae, SOMBR, Young Thug and FKA twigs.

Two of Bieber’s former collaborators – Sexyy Red and Major Lazer – will also be in attendance at next April’s festival. Justin joined forces with Major Lazer in 2016 to release “Cold Water,” the lead single on the EDM group’s greatest hits album “Major Lazer Essentials.” Alternatively, Bieber’s collab with Sexyy Red is much more recent, with the rapper featuring on his 2025 track “SWEET SPOT.”
