Justin Bieber’s return to the stage came with a record-setting paycheck.
The “Daisies” singer reportedly earned $10 million for his headlining performance at Coachella, according to a report from Rolling Stone. The figure, first reported in September 2025 when the deal was finalized and the lineup was announced, makes Bieber the highest-paid headliner in the festival’s nearly 30-year history.
The reported total breaks down to approximately $5 million per weekend, as Coachella runs across two consecutive weekends in April.
Bieber’s first performance was Saturday, April 11, and the second is slated for Saturday, April 18.
Justin Bieber Reportedly Negotiated Coachella Deal on His Own
GettyFollowing the release of his back-to-back albums “Swag” and “Swag II,” Bieber was announced as a 2026 headliner alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G.
According to Rolling Stone, the 32-year-old “Yukon” singer personally negotiated the deal with the Coachella festival promoter, securing the record-setting payday without an agent. This moves comes after a recent separation from his team.
“It’s a groundbreaking move for a headliner, and it’s something he built entirely on his own,” a source told Rolling Stone. “Between headlining Coachella and the success of ‘Swag,’ it’s clear this is the start of an exciting new era for Justin — one where he’s fully in the driver’s seat.”
The performance, which included a “Swag”-heavy setlist and a cheeky YouTube segment in which the “Baby” singer revisited old hits, marked Bieber’s first large-scale solo appearance since he canceled his Justice World Tour in 2022 due to health concerns. Since then, he has made multiple appearances at shows, including two recent private shows in Los Angeles just days before Coachella.
Additional reporting from outlets including Forbes and Cosmopolitan also cited the $10 million figure, reinforcing the scale of the deal.
How Justin Bieber’s Coachella Paycheck Compares to Past Coachella Headliners
GettyWhile Bieber’s reported earnings set a new record, other Coachella headliners have commanded multi-million dollar paydays, too. Coachella has never publicly revealed headliners’ financial details, but according to reports:
Beyoncé reportedly earned $8 million for her 2018 performance, according to People. So did Ariana Grande the year after.
The Weeknd was said to make around $8.5 million, according to Just Jared.
Tyler, the Creator reportedly earned “eight figures,” according to “THAT GUY,” a song he released in 2024.
“What that Coachella pay like? It was eight figures,” the lyrics say.
In Bieber’s case, reports noted that his earnings may be higher in take-home pay, as he didn’t use an agent and therefore avoided commission fees typically associated with festival bookings.
