Jaafar Jackson Talked About Becoming Michael
Jaafar said on the red carpet, “I remember the very first time when I had a call with grant King, the producer. He spoke to me about it. So early on, it was a lot to take in. You know, I’d never acted before. I’d never wanted to act. So I had a lot of – I was in conflict with it because I wasn’t sure if I could really do it or not.”
The 29-year-old said he teamed up with an acting coach and studied Michael’s videos and lyrics, which helped him “start to embody him.” The young star said he used a large archive of footage to “immerse myself and dissect everything.”

Can’t wait to see the movie. I’ve always been a Michael Jackson, Jackson 5 fan since the ’60s when they started out. It was straight BS of how the media tried to portray Mike, but the music is his legacy. He will always remain a one of my favorite entertainers of all time. Nothing but love and best wishes for the Jackson family. I remain a Slave to the Rhythm!!!
