Kanye West’s Massively Successful Comeback Shows Rake In $33 Million in 2 Days

Kanye West is proving his staying power after his two recent comeback performances were a major financial success. The shows raked in a combined $33 million dollars, according to Business Insider. The “Gold Digger” rapper, whose career has been overshadowed by personal struggles in recent years, performed to a sold-out crowd at So-Fi stadium in Los Angeles on Friday, April, per the Hollywood Reporter. The outlet says the event was meant to be “a celebration of West’s catalog and influence, with guest turns meant to underscore the breadth of his musical alliances.” He kicked off the comeback with another show two days earlier.

Several high-profile musicians showed support for his comeback by making appearances, including Lauryn Hill, CeeLo Green, and Travis Scott.

Kanye West Thanked Fans for Still Supporting Him

The Instagram account @ihategum, which posts about pop culture and other topics, shared several video clips of Kanye’s performance and reported that he told the crowd, “I wanna thank y’all for sticking by me all these years… through the high times, through the low times. I love you for that. They said I’d never be back in the states. Y’all know who you’re here to see.”

The page also pointed out the 48-year-old’s new album “Bully,” which dropped March 28, 2026, was Spotify’s biggest debut album of the week, with the song “Father” hitting number 1 on Apple Music’s global chart.

The song contains themes of self-reinvention with lyrics like “Bye-bye to my old self/Wake up to the new me/I used to be on WorldStar/Now I’m making Newsweek.”

Analysts Say Kanye Has Retained ‘Core Fanbase’

The Chicago native’s controversies have been plentiful, with one of the most glaring being his shocking actions towards former close friends and collaborators Jay Z and Beyoncé.

Still, Business Insider says “his core fanbase has remained intact,” demonstrating that “celebrities can still stay relevant when brands abandon them.”

The U.S. Sun reported in March 2025 that an insider told them Kanye felt his future career opportunities in North America were “limited,” and was considering relocating to Europe to attempt a comeback. “He’s looking for a way out to develop his businesses and his life. He’s targeting Europe because he sees it as a place where he can truly be himself and feel appreciated,” the outlet quotes the source as saying.

However, if his two recent shows are any indication, Kanye most likely won’t need to leave the country to enjoy career success.
