“This is all normal and everything is going well,” she wrote over the photo, which was posted on Instagram on August 31. “When you go on vacation and have food and E. Coli decides to move into your gut, you kill it with friends and daughters and red wine and a vitamin IV concoction.”

In the caption of the post, the “Just Give Me a Reason” singer shared her thoughts. “Ahhh life and lemons and lemonade and great memories that I might remember,” she wrote. Fans have reacted to her post and flooded the comment section with messages of love and well-wishes.

“Sending love and hope you feel better soon,” a fan wrote. “Ohhh noo! Hope you get to feeling better soon, P!nk!!” another person shared.

Other reactions include, “Sending healing vibes and hugs,” “Hope you feel better soon and are still able to enjoy the rest of your trip!!” and “Wishing you a speedy recovery.”

But what is E. Coli? Some strains of the Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria can “cause severe stomach cramps, bloody diarrhea and vomiting,” Mayo Clinic reports.

The publication also reports that the bacteria can be contracted through contaminated food or water, and that, although unpleasant, healthy adults are generally not at risk for lasting or severe complications. Recovery typically occurs within a week. “Young children and older adults have a greater risk of developing a life-threatening form of kidney failure,” Mayo Clinic reports.

Pink Shares Love of Travel

Pink getting sick on her vacation is unfortunate, but fans are hopeful that it hasn’t ruined her trip. Over the years, the musician has shared a glimpse into the vacations she has taken. This includes an Instagram post from March 19, 2024, in which she discussed the joys of travel.

Pink posted several video clips and photos from her trip, which included her two children, Willow and Jameson, whom she shares with husband, Carey Hart. “Its an absolute JOY to travel with my kids and be able to show them different lands and customs and culture and peoples and animals,” she wrote in the caption. “Today was our second time visiting @lonepinekoala and it was amazing to understand and learn so much about koalas, Roos, dingos and raptors.”

She continued to share the knowledge she had learned with her fans. “For instance, barn owls fly silently, and falcons are the fastest animal on Earth. Clocking in at 241 mph in flight. That’s fast,” she wrote. “Also, barn owls enjoy being sung to, while kangaroos really just prefer grass and quiet time. And these tiny, brown, round balls in the field aren’t chocolate like @hartluck said they were.
