After breaking the internet and trending all over the world for engagement news, Travis Kelce is finally sharing sweet new details about proposing to Taylor Swift.
One week after the couple revealed their engagement in a joint Instagram post, the Kansas City Chiefs star, 35, spoke candidly about the milestone on the September 3 episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelce.
‘I’m Excited to Spend the Rest of My Life With Her’
“That’s right, that’s right,” Kelce smiled, confirming the news. “And I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that’s been going on. It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
‘I Still Get Giddy’ Calling Her My Fiancé‘
GettyJason asked his younger brother how the past week had been since sharing the news publicly. “Exciting, it’s been awesome,” Kelce replied. He admitted that introducing Swift as his fiancée gave him butterflies.

So yeah, it was pretty cool.” When Jason asked if he got giddy saying it, Kelce laughed: “Yeah, I do. I still get giddy, exciting times.”
Advice From the Groom-to-Be
Kelce also offered advice for anyone planning to propose. “Man, you’ve gotta know your gal,” he said. “You can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you need to do it that way… I would just say know your partner, know who you’re doing it for and do it for the right reasons.”
The couple announced their engagement on August 26 with the caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨”.
Kelce designed the ring with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, featuring an Old Mine brilliant-cut stone, which Swift proudly showed off in their announcement photos.
