Peter Andre was a big star in the ‘90s with hits like “Flava” and “I Feel You,” and he boasts over 2 million fans on Instagram. The singer has been very open with his followers, and on Friday, April 10, he bravely opened up about a medical condition that has had a major impact on his life.
Peter Andre Shares Life-Changing Medical Condition
In an interview with The Sun, the singer revealed that he is afraid of medicine. “I have a fear of taking medicine, of putting something in my body that I can’t get out,” he said, The Mirror reports. This includes cosmetic procedures like Botox, which he had previously admitted to getting, but also over-the-counter pain medications.
He continued, “That includes injections. So I haven’t had Botox in about four years, I can’t have flu jabs, and I will never, ever have filler. Even when I get a headache now, I cannot take paracetamol. Obviously, with my wife being a doctor, it is hard, she thinks I just need exposure therapy and to get on with it, basically.”
Andre married his second wife, Emily MacDonagh, in 2015, with whom he shares three children. He was previously married to model and media personality Katie Price, with whom he shares two children.
Peter Andre Celebrates His Musical Success
Despite his fear of medicine, Andre has continued to work hard, and he recently reached a milestone when his latest album, “Legacy,” topped the iTunes pop charts. He shared a video on Instagram on April 10, expressing how the moment was a “really big deal” and sharing his joy. “I’m just so thankful … I’m so grateful,” he said into the camera. He also informed fans who had not heard of the album about its incredible collaborations, including a special guest who has not yet been identified.
In the caption, he shared his thoughts, writing, “Number 1 baby (at the moment ) …. Let’s go. So, who is the mystery special guest? Anyone figured it out yet?” Fans and celebrities applauded the musician in the post’s comment section.
“Awesome brother. So well deserved. This is your time,” Kenny Thomas shared. “You deserve all the success my brother. You’ve taken full control of your new music chapter, as a completely independent artist. Big respect,” Oritse Williams shared.
Other reactions include, “Blessings on blessings brother!! Congratulations,” “It’s your best album yet! Well done,” and “can’t wait to get mine.”
