There has been great concern for Ray J’s health after he was hospitalized in January 2026, and he later made a post on X informing fans that he did not have long to live because of his health issues, specifically his heart.
When Ray J returned to the stage to perform a concert in Shreveport, Louisiana, on February 14, fans were initially thrilled until reports that he had been bleeding from his eyes. He also performed with a chest monitor. Now, the musician is speaking out about what happened, addressing his health and the claims that the blood was fake.

GettyIn a Facebook video posted on February 19, Ray J encouraged fans not to believe everything they hear about his health. “I want to thank everybody out here for showing us love,” he said. “I’m on my way to Atlanta, and then I’m on my way to L.A. But I just want to thank everybody out here.”
The “One Wish” musician continued, “Forget what they’re talking about. Forget what you’re hearing. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your love. And again, all we can do is get better. Salute, I love you.” He also told his Shreveport fans he would “see you again soon,” suggesting he has no intention of disappearing from the limelight or of stopping to perform, yet.
Ray J is wearing sunglasses in the clip, so it is unclear what his eyes look like at present, but his comments come after a local photographer claimed that the blood seen around his eyes during his concert was fake. “He loves the camera. He loves the attention. Anybody that knows him, it’s all theatrical,” photographer Tommy Nard II told KTAL 6. Nard II also claimed that Ray J used “fake blood and things like that” during the concert.

A third comment reads, “Keep moving forward don’t let nothing stop you or anyone stop you life a journey.”
Others have expressed concern that Ray J is doing too much while he is unwell. “Baby you need to rest and get well because your health is more important then money or traveling you need to rest eat well cleans your body praying for you to come from up under this God bless you,” a fan wrote.
