Along with the fact that Shakira is releasing new music — “Choka Choka,” her first collaboration with Anitta and the second single from the Brazilian singer and songwriter’s upcoming album EQUILIBRIVM — she’s also offered fans a look at some gorgeous visuals to go along with the song.
Along with idyllic scenery and artistic additions, the Colombian star can be seen in a captivating chainmail bikini.
Shakira Stuns in Metallic Items for Her New Music Visuals
Shakira took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 22, to share a peek at what looks like a video for her new song with Anitta.
Starting with Shakira standing outside in rippling water with trees surrounding the area, the singer moves with the waves, and at other times, stands still while staring at the camera.
In the artistic scene, Shakira wears two different masks, one that hangs down over her features, and another that fully covers her face. As well as a glove made of chainmail, she can also be seen in a bikini made of metal pieces.
In other shots, she poses in an industrial building with lights flashing in front of her before a giant glowing circle pops up behind her. No longer in the steel-like swimsuit, she’s now slaying a silver breastplate.
In the caption, Shakira wrote, “Choka choka cuerpo con cuerpo boca con boca…” [Or, “Choka choka body to body mouth to mouth…”].
The post stirred up quite a few comments from fans, with one person writing, “Amazingly beautiful Queen of the Queens Shakira ! ❤️”
“WOOOOOOOW,” another follower added.
A third fan wrote, “Queen is queening 🔥”
Anitta also added a message for her collaborator, writing, “Eres la Reina de Latino America Shak. No solamente por su talento indiscutible pero por su corazón GIGANTE, generoso y genuino. Todos que te tienen como amiga tienen mucha suerte. Brasil te ama y está ansioso por verte.”
In English, IG translates that to: “You are the Queen of Latin America Shak. Not only for her undisputed talent but for her GIANT, generous and genuine heart. Everyone who has you as a friend is very lucky. Brazil loves you and is eager to see you.”
Shakira & Anitta’s Song Already Has Millions of YouTube Views
Even before an official video has been release for Shakira and Anitta’s new song, “Choka Choka,” the visual video on YouTube has already been viewed well over two million times and counting even though it was only released 13 days ago.
Billboard notes that “the single artwork” seen with the release “depict[s] the two South American superstars on a tarot card each covered in nothing but a large feather.”
Anitta said in a statement, via Just Jared, “Each track on my album ‘EQUILIBRIVM’ is very intentional, especially in its message. ‘Choka Choka’ is about a free woman—self-aware, cheeky, complex, and incredibly powerful. Elements that have always been part of my universe.”
Just Jared also points out that, in the song’s chorus, Anitta sings “choca, choca, cuerpo con cuerpo, boca con boca,” while Shakira sings in Portuguese, “She’s a wolf and she’s a woman / And she won’t be satisfied until she gets what she wants.” Together they add, “Living while leaving the past behind / Living without rules / Always doing whatever you want.”
