Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr Reunite for First Duet Since The Beatles

Paul McCartney is back, getting by with a little help from his friend Ringo Starr.

The music icon’s upcoming album will feature a brand-new duet with Starr, marking the first time the two have sung together on a track since their days in The Beatles.

While they’ve collaborated in different ways over the decades, a true co-vocal performance between the pair hasn’t been part of their recorded catalog … until now.

The “Band On The Run” singer highlighted the moment during a recent album preview.

“Ringo’s never done a duet with one of the Beatles,” McCartney, 83, told fans, according to The Mirror.

Starr confirmed the collab during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this week, sharing how the track came together in an unexpected way.

It started with his drums, he said.

“And then Paul got the song and put everything else on it. So it was like it was in reverse. The drums are off first,” Starr, 85, said. “It’s really great.”

‘Home to Us’ Taps Into Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr’s Liverpool Roots

The track, titled “Home to Us,” will appear on McCartney’s new album, “The Boys From Dungeon Lane,” set for release on May 29.

According to The Mirror, the song leans into the duo’s shared history growing up in Liverpool, England. The two are believed to duet on the chorus, the outlet added.

McCartney reportedly described their hometown as “a little rough, but home to us,” tying directly into the song’s title.

“Home to Us” is just one piece of what’s shaping up to be a busy stretch for both artists.

McCartney’s “The Boys From Dungeon Lane” arrives May 29 and marks his first solo album in more than five years. According to his website, the 14-song project leans heavily into McCartney’s early life in Liverpool, with songs built around memories, family, and the moments that shaped him before Beatlemania.

“‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’ is his most introspective album to date and takes the listener back to where it all began,” McCartney’s website reads.

Starr, on the other hand, is set to release “Long Long Road” on April 24. The 10-track album pulls from country and Americana influences and features collaborations with Billy Strings, Sheryl Crow, and St. Vincent, according to the “It Don’t Come Easy” singer’s website.

The first single, “It’s Been Too Long,” featuring bluegrass singer Molly Tuttle and six-time Grammy winner Sarah Jarosz, is already out.

The Beatles Are Heading Back to the Big Screen

And if that wasn’t enough Beatles news to come together over, the band’s story is heading back to theaters in a big way.

Director Sam Mendes, known for “Skyfall” and “1917,” is developing a four-film biopic series for Sony Pictures, with each movie telling the story of the band from a different member’s perspective.
