The Queen of Country Pop has a new album on the way. Shaina Twain, 60, has been hard at work producing new music for her fans. Now, she’s eager to pique fans’ interest and give them a taste of what’s to come.
Shania Twain Teases What Fans Can Expect From the New Album
Shania Twain’s new album is on the way, and she’s elated to give listeners a sneak peek into the music.
“It’s a reflection of my childhood, the environment I grew up in. There’s a lot of descriptive language,” the country music legend shared with PEOPLE.
She added that she’s excited to share her background and upbringing with fans. This new album is about getting back to her roots and her supporters before the spotlight and fame.
“I’m turning 60 and I feel good and I’ve got to celebrate that. I’m grateful to have made it this far,” Twain told the outlet. “So I was celebrating that with all of the ‘Queen of Me’ music. But who makes you who you become basically. I had never shared that with the fans before.”
“[My fans] only know Shania from my first records… My first hit wasn’t until I was 30. So there’s a whole lot of Shania they don’t know about and that’s what the new music’s about,” she continued.
While the artist feels the album is about reflection, she also shares it’s about finding contentment and inner peace.
“I feel really settled and at peace with a lot of the challenges and things that I’ve gone through, but who hasn’t, at my age. gone through stuff, right? But at some point in your life, it’s healthy to come to peace and terms with the things that you revisit maybe a little more often than is good for you,” Twain shared.
“It was really fun to revisit the past with a really great and positive outlook… I took ownership of being able to say to myself and to share it out loud in the music that it’s made me who I am. I wouldn’t trade it for anything because I’m actually quite happy with where I am and who I am and I wouldn’t trade that,” the singer added.
The Singer Releases New Song “Dirty Rosie” Ahead of the Album Release
So far, Shania Twain hasn’t officially revealed the name of her upcoming album. However, she did give fans a taste of the music coming.
The 60-year-old teased a new song, “Dirty Rosie,” on social media.
“You can drive a hummer, in the summer. You can EVEN drive the ladies, in my mercedes. BUT you can’t drive my truck 💗 New song ‘Dirty Rosie’ coming this Wednesday,” the singer teased on Instagram.
In the comments, fans went wild with anticipation.
“Shania has always been the blueprint 🙌 This is giving me all the feels. So obsessed already! 🤠💜” one Instagram user wrote.
“Shania is back. A new Shania era. And the title is epic!” another added.
Shania Twain will host the 2026 ACM Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Her untitled album will be released later this year.
