Sharon Osbourne has endured a deeply painful year after the loss of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025. However, a joyful development may offer the Osbourne family hope for the future.
Jack Osbourne’s wife, Aree Gearhart, is pregnant. According to reports, news has sparked quiet excitement amongst Sharon’s loved ones, and those closest to her say a new grandchild would mean the world to her during this difficult time.
Jack & His Wife to Welcome Their Second Child Together
The couple revealed the exciting news in an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, December 6 after Jack was evicted from the reality television series “I’m a Celebrity.” Jack is a father to three daughters with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly and shares his daughter Maple, born in July 2022, with Aree.
According to Jack, Aree is 28 weeks pregnant, and they were able to tell Jack’s late father about their exciting news before his passing.
“It’s awesome,” Jack told the outlet, adding that the upcoming arrival of his fifth child has been “healing” for his family as they continue to grieve their loss. “I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing – probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way.”
He continued, “it’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness. It’s been easy for me – I think it’s been a lot harder for my wife!”
“We’re super-excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected. But it’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously,” Jack concluded.

The couple’s pregnancy news comes months after Ozzy’s death on July 22, 2025 at the age of 76. Jack marked the loss a month later when he posted a heartfelt tribute to his father, which included photos of his kids.
“I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father. My heart has hurt too much,” Jack wrote in the caption of his post. “I’m gonna keep this short because he certainly hated long rambling speeches.”
“He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be apart of a very small group that got to call him ‘Dad,'” Jack continued. “My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude. I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing.”
Finding Strength in a Year of Hardship
“I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media. Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed, in fact, it’s carried me through many nights,” Sharon wrote in an Instagram post from September 12, 2025 following Ozzy’s passing.
“I love you all, and I thank you deeply for the otherworldly amount of love you continue to send my way,” she concluded.
Sharon went through another loss only months later when her dog, Elvis, passed away after 14 years together. She shared the news of his passing in a touching Instagram post from October 19, 2025.
“I can’t believe I am posting this but my darling Elvis passed away this week. He gave me 14 precious year. He was by my side until the end. Rest in peace my darling boy!” she wrote in the caption.
In December, Sharon celebrated Ozzy’s birthday and shared a touching dedication to his memory.
“My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side,” she wrote in the caption of her post, which included a snippet from Ozzy’s song, “See You on the Other Side.”
