Taylor Swift Donates Life-Changing Gift to Young Cancer Patient

Taylor Swift changed one family’s life when they needed it most.

Swift, 35, donated $100,000 to a GoFundMe page to help a toddler fight cancer, her mom shared via social media.

2-Year-Old Lilah Is Fighting Cancer

Lilah — who was just 18 months old at the time — was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in February.

“There were only 58 documented cases in the U.S. last year,” Lilah’s GoFundMe profile — which was set up by her aunt in March — reads. “She will be admitted to the hospital, and she will have 3 months of chemo and 3 months of stem cell treatment. They will be living at the hospital for 4 weeks at a time while she is getting her treatments.”

Lilah’s aunt pleaded with friends and family to “help us lessen the burden on their expenses so they can focus on taking care of their baby girl, Lilah!”

The toddler turned two in August, and her family celebrated while in the hospital.

With a goal of $100,000, the “Life of a Showgirl” singer paid it off in full with the click of a button.

“Sending the biggest hug to my friend, Lilah! Love, Taylor,” her message read.

Lilah’s Family Thanks Taylor Swift for the Generous Gift

Lilah’s mom, Katelynn, shared the life-changing news via TikTok as she danced around the hospital room with her daughter.

“Taylor Swift is my friend,” Lilah said before the mother-daughter duo danced to “Ophelia.”

Katelynn thanks the pop star, writing, “We now can just focus on being here with our girl.”

“I cannot say thank you enough. I’m truly in shock,” she captioned the video. “This means we don’t have to worry about anything other than Lilah. Truly such a blessing. Thank you @Taylor Swift.”

Swifties united in the days since the massive gift, with hundreds donating $13 in honor of the singer.

“Every time I open my phone, I cry. Thank you all so much!” Katelynn shared in a follow-up video, as Swift fans nearly doubled the family’s goal. “You have absolutely no idea what this means to us!”

Taylor Swift Has a History of GoFundMe Donations

Lilah and Katelynn’s story isn’t the first time Swift has been named in the same sentence as a GoFundMe miracle. The singer’s pal Ruby Rose recently revealed that the singer used to use GoFundMe like Instagram.

“She used to scroll go fund me like a social media app. Clicking ‘reach their donation’ like the ‘like’ button,” the “Orange Is the New Black” actress responded to a social media comment criticizing the “So High School” artist.

  1. God bless you you beautiful icon there are so many celebrities in the world that are selfish and they can change the world in so many different ways thank you for not being one of them if you are going to make that little girl’s life such a difference we need more people like you

  2. What she did was good, but these stories pop up rarely that she gave what is equivalent to $5 for the rest of us. Celebrities and athletes and the ultra rich need to give more of their money to help get this nation rid of hunger and homelessness.

    • What TS has done is something the rest of us don’t have the financial freedom to do. Her generosity is so well considered that it gives little Lilah the best chance, while also allowing her Mummy and Daddy the freedom to focus on her well-being. I think you meant to say that Taylor’s donation was a house deposit for us, while it’s impact on her is zero, like giving up a quarter. She has the freedom we don’t and does good, yet I’m not sure we’d all be that generous if we were in the same position, even though we somewhat expect, or demand, it of others just as wealthy. TS is an inspiration in the middle of a huge issue that the whole world can’t stop focusing on. FDJT
