Hulk Hogan gave a revealing final interview before his death in July 2025, which will be featured in the upcoming Netflix docuseries “Hulk Hogan: Real American.”
In the trailer released April 6, Hogan addresses his legacy and how he hopes to be remembered. “In wrestling, you should be remembered for all the wars and everything you’ve done,” he said. “Some people hate me, but after I’m gone, I think people don’t know the truth. Who was this guy, really?”
Hulk Hogan Reflects on Legacy and Final Chapter
The docuseries captures Hogan discussing both his career and his personal identity. In one moment, he speaks directly about the difference between his public persona and private life.
“Terry Bollea was just a human being, but when I went in that ring, brother, I was Hulk Hogan,” he said. “The character helps people, that’s all I know.”
Hogan also acknowledged uncertainty about how his story would end. “I can’t predict what the final act of this story is gonna be,” he said in a voiceover. “But the legend of Hulk Hogan will live forever.”
In another moment, Hogan makes a cryptic statement about his experiences in wrestling. “You want me to tell the truth? Okay. I know where all the bodies are buried.”
The series also addresses past controversies, including Hogan’s own comments about his behavior. “I was out partying. Maybe I was drunk, maybe I was high. I don’t know what to tell you,” he said. “There are millions of kids that believed in me and what I stand for.”
Linda Hogan Shares Emotional Reaction to Hogan’s Death
The docuseries includes interviews with Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda Hogan, who was married to him from 1983 to 2009. She reflects on their relationship and her feelings following his death.
“We didn’t speak to each other anymore, but I realized, ‘I still love him,’” she said in the trailer.
After Hogan’s passing, Linda shared her thoughts in an emotional Instagram post.
“I had no idea he would pass away this soon,” she wrote. “We all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It’s hitting me so hard.”
She added, “We spent every minute together for so many years… I still love him. Even tho I never spoke or saw him… We still were a family. It’s so hard to know he’s just gone.”
Linda also addressed the challenges within their family, including strained relationships, but emphasized their shared history. “It’s so hard to know he’s just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick … but I’m me.”
The trailer also features home video footage of Hogan with his children, Brooke Hogan and Nick Hogan, offering a look at his life outside the ring. “Life was so clear,” Hogan says in the clip. “Where did that life go?”
“Hulk Hogan: Real American” drops on Netflix April 22.
