The “Walking Dead” family and TV community are grieving the loss of Amy Blanc Lacy, a beloved script supervisor whose career spanned more than three decades. Lacy suffered catastrophic injuries in a September 1 car accident and was taken off life support on September 5, her family confirmed.
Her niece shared on Facebook that Lacy had been riding with her two sons, Adrian and Oliver, when their car was struck at high speed. The boys were treated for minor injuries and released, but Lacy sustained severe brain and spinal trauma that left her in a coma. In accordance with her wishes, she was later removed from life support.
The family also revealed Lacy was an organ donor, with more than 46 people expected to receive lifesaving transplants as her final gift.
