Brad Pitt has added another property to his impressive real estate portfolio, buying a Spanish-style estate in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills. The Oscar-winning actor, 60, paid about $12 million for the home, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The couple listed it in June for just under $14 million after purchasing it in 2021 for roughly $9.6 million from Grindr founder Joel Simkhai.
Pitt’s Top Priority
Sources told The New York Post that security was one of Pitt’s top priorities. “He wanted somewhere that could provide an optimal security system and privacy, and this place caught his eye,” a source explained. “Long before his home was burglarized, security was always a priority.” Here’s all we know about Pitt’s new home. Read on.
A Home Designed for Privacy & Security
Located in the gated Outpost Estates enclave, the 8,385-square-foot residence offers both privacy and multiple layers of protection.
The property features a hand-laid brick motor court, mature landscaping for privacy, and pre-wiring for advanced alarm systems.
Built in 1989, the home blends classic Spanish-style architecture with artistic detailing. Design features include arched hallways, exposed wood beams, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls. More whimsical elements include a tin-panel ceiling with a sunflower motif and a floral-lit office.
Inside the $12 Million Estate
The home includes six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a double-height foyer, and a theater room. Outside, residents can enjoy a pool, vegetable gardens, and a fire-pit lounge with sweeping views of the city and the ocean.
With this purchase, Pitt continues to grow his collection of architecturally significant properties. In 2022, he bought a clifftop home in Carmel Highlands for $40 million, while last year he sold his Los Feliz compound for $33 million.
Recent Burglary
GettyPitt’s purchase comes shortly after his nearby Los Feliz property was burglarized. Police said four suspects broke in through a front window on June 25, ransacked the home, and fled. While items were stolen, the names of the suspects have not been released.
Despite the incident, Pitt’s professional calendar remains full. He will star in David Ayer’s Navy SEAL drama “Heart of the Beast”, expected to begin production in 2026, as well as A24’s adaptation of Tim Winton’s novel The Riders. He is also linked to a sequel to “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”.
