Brendan Fraser’s Adult Sons Make RARE Red Carpet Appearance & They’re Gorgeous

Brendan Fraser attended the premiere of “Pressure” in New York on Tuesday, May 26, and was joined by two of his children. Fraser walked the red carpet accompanied by his adult sons, Griffin Arthur Fraser, who was born in 2002, and Leland Francis Fraser, born in 2006, People reports. Fraser shares his sons with his ex-wife, Afton Smith.

Fraser and his sons posed for photos on the red carpet, with the actor standing in the middle. He was wearing an olive suit, and his sons wore colors that complemented his look. The actor smiled widely and appeared to be thrilled that his sons were there with him to share in this moment.

“Pressure” will be in theaters on Friday, May 29. It is a war drama and will star Fraser, who plays General Dwight D. Eisenhower. The film is set in the 72 hours before D-Day, People reports. A video from the event was shared on Instagram by People. You can see it here.

The outing was an exciting one for fans because Fraser’s sons prefer to stay out of the limelight. The Hollywood veteran is also a father to a third son, Holden Fletcher, born in 2004. Holden and Leland joined their dad on the red carpet for the screening of his film, “The Whale,” in 2022.

Fraser’s sons have been incredibly supportive of his career and expressed their pride in a 2023 interview at the Oscars. “We are unbelievably proud. Over the moon,” Holden told Laverne Cox on the E! red carpet, People reports.

Fraser received an Oscar for Best Actor for his role in “The Whale,” and his sons were among those he mentioned in his acceptance speech. “It’s been like I’ve been on a diving expedition to the bottom of the ocean, and the air on the line [has come from] some people in my life like my sons Holden and Leland and Griffin — I love you, Griffey,” he said.

Fraser has protected his sons’ privacy, choosing not to talk about them constantly in interviews and rarely giving personal details. However, in a 2018 interview with GQ, he gave a rare, personal interview about his eldest son, Griffin. Fraser discussed how he is on the autism spectrum.

“He needs extra love in the world, and he gets it,” he said. “[He is] a curative on everyone who meets him, I noticed. People have some rough edges to them. Or he just makes them, I don’t know…put things into sharper relief and maybe find a way to have a little bit more compassion. They don’t put themselves first so much around him.”

Fatherhood has impacted Fraser’s life in a beautiful way, and in a 2009 interview with OK! Magazine, he was asked what he loves most about being a dad. “You learn how to love more and more every day,” he replied. In the same interview, the star discussed how his sons, who were very young at the time, had not realized he was famous.
