Channing Tatum isn’t afraid of letting his body show what it’s been through. That includes the physical ordeals he’s faced and overcome.
That’s why the actor — who recently underwent surgery on his shoulder — has just revealed that he’s sporting a new scar due to the medical treatment.
Granted, he also admitted that the scar wasn’t exactly what he was expecting.
Tatum Admits He Wasn’t Expecting the Scar
On Thursday, February 19, Tatum took to Instagram to share a shirtless photo of himself, while the camera was held up close to a new scar on his shoulder.
In the caption of Tatum’s post, he wrote, “Not gone lie it’s my fault for not asking. I thought it was gonna be two little holes. Apparently not the case. Hehehe. Well it doesn’t matter anyhow i like scars anyway and it’s feeling stronger day by day so thank you doc.”
He then added, “Also I do like going through airport security wondering if my shoulder is gonna shut off the machine.”
The star’s post prompted plenty of comments, with one person writing, “Stay well and keep being strong! 🫶🏻 I adore you, Tatum!🤍”
“Ouch hope you have a speedy recovery and rehabilitation 😍,” another person added.
A third fan wrote, “Glad you’re doing well, stay strong… 😜🤙🏼”
“Sending you healing vibes and wishing you a quick recovery 🤗,” came from another follower.
Someone else left a comment, saying, “We love a good scar story 🔥❤️”
Another person addressed Tatum’s airport security concern, writing, “Fellow Titanium Terminator here 🖐️ : you won’t set off the metal detector; I’ve gone through airport security many times without issue. You got this and welcome to the Terminators 😉”
On the other hand, someone else added, “I just had both knees replaced and I set off the metal detector at a concert in Vegas LOL.”
Channing Tatum Shared a Photo of Himself in the Hospital
Although Tatum didn’t reveal how he had injured his shoulder, he did share a photo of himself in the hospital and took time to “explain the reason for his hospital stay on his Instagram Stories,” according to People. “In the first post, Tatum shared an X-Ray of his upper arm and shoulder area where it could clearly be seen that two bones were broken.”
“Separated shoulder,” he wrote, then popped up a photo of the area after surgery and another X-ray that showed a screw keeping the bones together. He added a caption, writing, “Screwed shoulder. Yay.”
