Wrestler Daniel Moody, the son of the late WWE legend and Hall of Famer Paul Bearer, aka William Moody, has passed away at the age of 39.
Moody, who wrestled on the independent circuit for many years using the ring name DJ Pringle, died on March 24 following a “major health crisis.” The exact cause is not publicly known.
Steve Stasiak of Book Pro Wrestlers announced Moody’s passing on his Facebook page.
Stasiak’s lengthy post begins, “Daniel Moody, known to many as DJ Pringle, has passed away.”
The post continues, “If you’ve been around wrestling long enough, you understand what the Moody name means. His father, Paul Bearer, wasn’t just a character on TV… he was part of the fabric of this business. One of those voices and presences you don’t forget.”
After further tributary words, Stasiak said, “My thoughts are with his family, his friends, and everyone connected to him.”
He ended the announcement, “Rest in peace, Daniel.”
Moody is also honored in various posts on social media.
Daniel Moody’s Passing Is a ‘Heartbreaking Loss’
The non-profit wrestling organization The Cauliflower Club took to their Instagram account to share a tribute to Daniel Moody with their 7,800 followers.
In the post, which included a picture of Moody with his father, the lengthy caption includes the passage, “At just 39 years old, his passing is a heartbreaking loss. To his family, friends, and everyone who knew him, this is an unimaginable time of grief. May you find comfort in the memories, in the love he shared, and in the lasting impact he made both in and out of the ring.”
Additionally, it says, “Daniel Moody—DJ Pringle—will be remembered not only as the son of a legend, but as a man who carried that passion forward and made his own mark.”
One wrestling fan took to the comments section to write, “😢😢😢😮😮😮 @caulifloweralleyclub Rest in heavenly peace Daniel Moody.”

The Wrestle.ish also shared the news of Moody’s passing with their 75,000 followers.
In their post, which also includes the same picture of Moody with his father, they write, “The son of Paul Bearer, Daniel Moody, also known as DJ Pringle, has sadly passed away. Daniel was the last remaining immediate member of the Moody family.”
It ends, “Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and loved ones. ❤️🕊️”
Fans again took to the comments section to pay their respects, with one saying, “Damn RIP to the family 🙏🏽.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with Daniel Moody’s funeral costs. At the time of writing, $520 of the targeted $4,500 has been raised.
The GoFundMe page explains that Moody was previously in hospital on November 7, 2025, for a procedure and subsequently “suffered a major health crisis.”
Moody’s father, the legendary WWE manager Paul Bearer, passed away on March 5, 2013, at the age of 58. His older brother, Michael, died on September 21, 2014 at the age of 35.
Moody leaves behind a daughter, Danielle.
