‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Cast Shares Health Update on Beloved Co-Star Catherine Bach After Hospitalization

Fans of “The Dukes of Hazzard” are rallying around Catherine Bach, best known for her iconic role as Daisy Duke on the beloved CBS classic. The 70-year-old actress is currently hospitalized after suffering an embolism that reportedly developed following a recent surgery.

As news of her condition spread, Bach’s former co-stars and longtime friends shared messages of love and prayers for her recovery. Ben Jones, who played Cooter Davenport, and his wife, Alma, were the first to break the news on Facebook.

“Breaking news! Our dear Catherine Bach has just been admitted to the hospital in Los Angeles on an emergency basis,” they wrote. “Catherine has an embolism that probably developed as a result of a recent surgery. We will keep you posted… Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Love, Ben and Miss Alma.”

The couple added that Bach was heartbroken to cancel her scheduled appearance at Cooter’s Place in Nashville, where she had planned to reunite with fans. “She is so, so sorry to have to cancel her appearance this weekend,” they shared. “Please keep her in your prayers.”


Tom Wopat Sends His Love & Support

Tom Wopat, who played Luke Duke, posted a heartfelt tribute to Bach on Instagram, sharing a throwback photo of the pair from their “Dukes of Hazzard” days.

“Tom and the Wopat Webcrew are sending our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Catherine Bach, who was recently hospitalized,” he wrote. “Wishing her comfort and a full, speedy recovery. ❤️”

Fans quickly filled the comments section with prayers and good wishes. “Get well soon, Legend. Wishing you a speedy and healthy recovery,” one wrote, while another added, “Prayers from Brazil, Catherine. We love you.”


John Schneider Offers Encouragement to Fans

John Schneider, who played Bo Duke, also reached out to fans with an encouraging update about Bach’s condition.

“Attention, Dukes of Hazzard family! I just texted Catherine, and thankfully, she responded right away,” Schneider wrote on Facebook. “Yes, she is in the hospital, but she assures me that she is going to be fine. She appreciates all our prayers and support and is truly disappointed not to be traveling this weekend. We love you, Catherine!”

Fans echoed his positivity with messages like “Please Lord, let Catherine heal quickly” and “Praying for you, Daisy. You are the best!”
