911 Call Details Heroic Rescue of ‘Bob’s Burgers’ Star as He Was Pulled From Burning Car

Just two days after news first broke of the frightening crash involving actor Eugene Mirman, more harrowing details are coming into focus. Mirman is best known for voicing Gene Belcher on the long-running animated series “Bob’s Burgers,” which premiered in 2011.

Beyond the beloved Fox show, he has appeared in fan-favorite series including “Flight of the Conchords,” “Delocated,” “Archer,” and “Broad City.”

Actor Rescued From Burning Vehicle by Trooper and Bystanders

In the 911 call, first responders shared urgent updates as the situation unfolded in real time.

“Motor vehicle that struck the toll is on fire … update, one caller reporting one male out of the vehicle was incoherent and got in the back of a truck,” a responder said in the audio, as quoted by Page Six.

As emergency crews worked to contain the flames, another update revealed that a bystander who rushed in to help was also injured.

A “bystander who got involved cut his hand” and was receiving “medical treatment” at the scene, responders added.

As per a detailed report by WNNYTV, Authorities said the crash occurred just before noon on Tuesday at a toll plaza in Bedford, New Hampshire. Mirman had been driving a 2026 Lucid Gravity when the vehicle struck the toll area and caught fire.

According to state police, a veteran trooper assigned to Kelly Ayotte’s security detail happened to witness the crash and immediately rushed to help.

“The driver was then pulled from the burning car through a window and brought to safety. Governor Ayotte, along with other witnesses at the scene, assisted the Trooper,” officials said in the official press release.

Authorities later praised the quick response from those at the scene.

“Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did,” Colonel Mark B. Hall said. “Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”


Hospitalized With Serious Injuries but Expected to Recover

Mirman, 51, was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, though officials said they were not life-threatening.

A spokesperson for New Hampshire State Police confirmed he remained hospitalized as of Wednesday evening. In a statement published by Variety, his agent later addressed the incident, calling it a frightening ordeal while offering a reassuring update on his recovery.

“Eugene was in a very scary car accident. He wants to thank the bystanders, state police, first responders, and hospital staff who saved him. He is grateful to be on the mend.”

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and no charges have been filed.

As fans continue to react, the focus remains on Mirman’s recovery and the quick, courageous actions of those who helped bring him to safety in a critical moment.
