The 83rd Annual Golden Globes Awards just concluded in January. However, executive team members are already looking ahead to next year’s ceremony.
The Golden Globes recently selected a host for the 84th awards. They invited a familiar face to return as the host, delighting viewers and ceremony representatives alike.
Former Golden Globes Host Returns for a Third Time
GettyAfter hosting the Golden Globes two years in a row, Nikki Glaser will host the ceremony again in 2027. Viewers and audience members alike widely praised the comedienne’s performance during the 82nd and 83rd awards. Glaser seemed like a natural pick for the upcoming 84th ceremony.
Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne warmly announced Glaser’s return in a recent statement.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nikki back to the Golden Globes stage in 2027,” Hoehne shared. “Her comedic precision, authenticity, and ability to command the room is unmatched, and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for next year’s show.”
Glaser is equally pleased to return to the show, publicly proclaiming, “I’m thrilled to host the Golden Globes for a third time, not only because it’s the greatest gig I’ve ever had, but because my sister has three kids and now we will be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord.”
Reps Fawn Over Nikki Glaser as a Host
With the 84th Annual Golden Globes ceremony 10 months away, Nikki Glaser has plenty of time to prepare new material.
During the 83rd ceremony, the comedienne posted several photos of the event on social media. She enjoyed twirling around in her light pink ballgown, demonstrating her delight.
Other members of the Golden Globes production team feel ecstatic to welcome her back to the stage.
“Nikki is such a great talent, and I think she really, truly found her place here,” executive producer Glenn Weiss informed Variety this week. “I think she’s a perfect host for us. And I will say this, that she is one of the hardest working people I’ve met in this industry. She really cares about what she’s doing. She goes out, she practices sets, things changed right up till when we went on the air from our first rehearsal to the last. And I’ve got to give her major props for not just how funny she is, but how hard she works and what a great person she is for this role.”
Media for the 84th Golden Globes must be released between Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026. Both CBS and Dick Clark Prods. confirmed the next ceremony will air live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2027.
