Longtime Hollywood manager Barbara Lawrence passed away on January 2 in Manhattan from natural causes, according to the Hollywood Reporter. She was 82.
Her celebration of life included more than 85 of her family and friends on what would have been Lawrence’s 83rd birthday.
She is survived by her husband Richard Lawrence, her son Evan Lawrence and his wife Jill Anenberg-Lawrence, her son Seth Lawrence and his wife Denise Draper, along with their four children Daelyn, Madden, Wyatt and Cole.
Barbara Lawrence’s Legacy
Lawrence was first married to actor Dennis Cooney from 1967 to 1970, and through them, she became friends with actress Liza Minnelli and playwright Fred Ebb.
She ultimately moved to Los Angeles and began working at Abrams-Rubaloff Agency, which is where she met her husband, Richard Lawrence. Her husband left the agency to pursue his own firm, buying Abrams-Rubaloff from Harry Abrams in 1980. As for Barbara, she left Abrams-Rubaloff and took it over.
She retired in the early 2000s.

Rue McClanahan
McClanahan was in many iconic series, including playing Vivian Cavender Harmon on “Maude” (1972–1978), along with Blanche Devereaux on “The Golden Girls” (1985–1992). For her role in “The Golden Girls,” McClanahan received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and won the award in 1987. She also received three Golden Globe Award nominations. Along with her work in television, McClanahan gave Broadway a try, playing Madame Morrible in the musical “Wicked” in 2005.
Alan Rachins
Rachins was best known for his role as Douglas Brackman in “L.A. Law.” For that, he received a Golden Globe and Emmy nominations. Rachins also portrayed Larry on the show “Dharma & Greg.”
Chris Evans
Evans is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, having appeared in numerous different films, including “The Avengers” series, in which he plays Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. In that role, he has appeared in five of the major movies, including ‘The Avengers,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.” He also starred in movies such as “Knives Out,” “Gifted,” and “Defending Jacob,” as well as making his Broadway debut in 2018.
Traylor Howard
Howard is well known for his role as Natalie Teeger in the series “Monk,” which she was in from 2005 to 2009. She also appeared in shows including “Boston Common” (1996-1997) and “Two Guys and a Girl” (1998-2001).
