Tim McGraw had an unexpected moment on stage during his latest concert.
The country music star was performing at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Thursday, Aug. 27, when he suddenly fell during the show.
McGraw Quickly Recovered After the Fall
McGraw was singing his 1997 hit “I Like It, I Love It” when his boot appeared to catch on a crevice in the stage. The 59-year-old singer lost his balance and landed on his backside in front of the crowd.
The fall appeared to catch McGraw off guard, but he recovered quickly. He got back to his feet and continued performing without letting the mishap derail the concert.
McGraw even acknowledged what happened while he was on stage, joking that there was “a drop there.”
After the concert, McGraw poked fun at the incident on Instagram.
“Cincinnati, you started our weekend off on the right foot even if I couldn’t stay on mine 😂 We appreciate you coming out and singing along!” he wrote.
McGraw also shared a replay of the fall with his followers. For the video, he used audio from a popular internet meme that says, “Yep, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.”
Fans Quickly Took to the Comments
Fans immediately reacted to the unexpected concert moment, with many checking in on the singer after his fall.
“He’s only human, give him a break,” one person wrote.
“I hope he’s ok,” another fan commented.
“I’m so happy he didn’t get hurt thank God,” a third person added.
Other fans joked about what appeared to happen with the stage.
“Somebody should check on the stage,” one person wrote.
Others quipped how he needs to be protected. “bubble wrap him for tonight,” the user wrote.
“You can see his heel drop through the stage right before he fell,” another commented.

McGraw’s youngest daughter, Audrey, also reacted to the video in the comments.
“Oh noooo,” she wrote, adding crying, laughing and heart emojis.
The concert had already gotten off to a delayed start. The show began about 40 minutes late, with McGraw taking the stage around 9:40 p.m. He apologized to the audience for travel and weather delays before getting the performance underway.
“I made it!” McGraw said with relief as he and his band began playing.
Despite the late start and his onstage tumble, McGraw continued with the performance for the Cincinnati crowd.
The Country Star Is Currently on Tour
The singer is currently on his Pawn Shop Guitar Tour, which is scheduled to continue through Sept. 26.
The tour includes upcoming stops in Colorado and Texas before McGraw heads to Las Vegas for performances at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in October and November.
For now, McGraw appears to be taking the unexpected stage mishap in stride. Rather than letting the fall overshadow the night, he turned it into another memorable moment from the road.
