Jennifer Lopez has had a busy year so far, but the iconic singer shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The former “American Idol” judge, 57, has several projects lined up this year, including a reported $20 million deal with Dolce & Gabbana. Lopez’s busy schedule is said to have left her friends concerned that she may be heading toward burnout.
“She is working her tail off because she wants to stay busy, though there is some concern she may burn out,” a source told the Daily Mail. “But this is how she stays sane during this weird time in her life.”
Another source revealed to the outlet that the “Office Romance” star would rather “wake up at 5 am and put in a 14-hour day” than spend her time sitting at home.
Jennifer Lopez Not Slowing Down Anytime Soon
Despite fears of another burnout from her heavy workload, Lopez showed she could handle it just fine. In a new video shared on her Instagram Stories, the singer appeared ready to keep pushing forward.
The clip showed Lopez riding in a chauffeured car as an expletive-laced message played over the soundtrack:
“Be the person people look at and say, ‘How the f** is this mother-f***er still going?’ That’s all you need to know if you do that for life.”
Fears that Lopez is pushing herself too hard are especially concerning to her inner circle, given her past struggles with an overwhelming workload.
In 2002, while filming the thriller “Enough,” Lopez reportedly became so exhausted and sleep-deprived that she struggled to keep going. She later acknowledged that the intense pressure took a toll on her well-being.
“I was suffering from a lack of sleep. And I did have a kind of nervous breakdown,” the singer recalled, per the Daily Mail. “I was like – I don’t want to move, I don’t want to talk, I don’t want to do anything,” she explained.
What’s Keeping Her Busy?
Aside from the reported $20 million deal with Dolce & Gabbana, Lopez is said to be planning a major international tour next year, per the Daily Mail.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer is also facing a heavily packed promotional schedule from late 2026 through early 2027 for “The Last Mrs. Parrish” and “Ice Age: Boiling Point,” in which she returns as the voice of Shira.
Lopez is also bringing “The JLo Show” to Paramount+, with a filmed version of her Las Vegas residency set to stream on the platform.
Meanwhile, Lopez is reportedly adjusting to the empty nest as her 18-year-old twins, Max and Oskar, head off to college. The major life change is said to be fueling her desire to keep working nonstop.
“It’s not an easy time for Jennifer, there are a lot of changes, it’s very emotional, but she finds comfort in working nonstop, which is great because her career is still doing very well,” the source told the outlet. “She just works, works, works! She likes to be a workaholic; she is incredibly driven, a typical Type-A Leo who never wants to be out of the spotlight.”
