Mandy Moore is choosing gratitude after a year marked by loss and upheaval. Nearly twelve months after her Altadena, California, home burned down in the Los Angeles wildfires, the actress and singer shared a heartfelt Thanksgiving message reflecting on the challenges her family has faced.
Moore Shares Sweet Family Photos in Her Thanksgiving Post
“It’s been a pretty wild and difficult year,” Mandy, 41, wrote on Instagram on November 27. “But the top line is definitely overwhelming gratitude.”
She posted a series of black-and-white photos of herself and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, laughing and cuddling with their children, Gus Harrison, 4, Ozzie Bennett, 3, and Louise Everett, 14 months.
“Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours,” she added, saying she was “the most grateful for these four.”
Earlier this year, Moore and her family were among the many residents affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.
GettyTheir Altadena, California, home was nearly destroyed in the Eaton blaze, one of several fires that swept through the region and displaced more than 80,000 people, including other public figures. The wildfires also destroyed more than 1,000 structures at the start of the year.
The deadly Eaton blaze ignited on January 7 and was fully contained on January 31, along with the nearby Palisades Fire.
How Moore Leaned on Loved Ones After Losing Her Home
In the days after the wildfire, Mandy leaned heavily on her inner circle.
Earlier this year, her brother-in-law Griffin Goldsmith shared that Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma opened their home to Mandy’s family as they dealt with the sudden loss.
“They’ve taken care of my entire family from the moment this began,” Griffin wrote on Instagram. “I will never be able to thank them adequately. This is the kindest act any human could do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we’ve ever known.”
Their support helped Mandy and her family regain a sense of stability during one of the most overwhelming moments of their lives.
‘This Is Us‘ Star Has Been Focused on Family as She Moves Forward
Moore’s Thanksgiving message echoed a theme she has returned to throughout the year: staying rooted in family. The photos offered a warm, intimate look at life at home, capturing laughter, connection, and the simple joy she finds in parenting.
As she steps into the holiday season after a turbulent year, her post underscored what she is holding onto most: gratitude, family, and resilience.
