Nancy Guthrie’s Neighbor Recalls Seeing Suspicious Man Walking Near Her Home Before Kidnapping

A neighbor of Nancy Guthrie has spoken out, detailing how she saw a suspicious man walking in the neighborhood two weeks before her suspected abduction.

“He didn’t have your typical walking gear on, and he had his hat pulled really far over his eyes,” Aldine Meister told Fox News. “He was kind of younger, and he just didn’t look like he was going out for a walk.”

Meister added that she mentioned the suspicious incident to her husband, but ultimately did not report it. She did tell authorities after Nancy’s kidnapping.

“He just didn’t fit,” she stated, but explained that she did not have any video footage of this.

Masked Suspect Appeared At Nancy Guthrie’s Home Before Kidnapping: Report

In a recent report from ABC News, sources familiar with the investigation said that the suspect was captured on the doorbell camera on the door before Nancy’s suspected kidnapping. Specifically, the sources added that the image released by the FBI of the suspect at her front door, without a backpack, was from the day prior, even though they said there were from “the morning of her disappearance.”

CNN added that the reason for believing this is on two separate days is “because the masked suspect is not wearing a backpack in one of them, according to the source.”

After this came out, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department released a statement, saying that they are “aware that doorbell images released earlier in the investigation depict a suspect in different stages of attire, including with and without a backpack.”

“There is no date or time stamp associated with these images. Therefore, any suggestion that the photographs were taken on different days is purely speculative,” they wrote. “This remains an active and ongoing criminal investigation. As with any investigation, conclusions will be guided by verifiable evidence and established facts. Speculation, without factual support, does not advance the investigative process.”

Savannah Guthrie Announces New Reward in Nancy’s Kidnapping Case

In a new video shared on Instagram, Savannah Guthrie shared a tearful message. And with that, the family is also offering up to $1 million for information that leads to Nancy’s recovery, according to a public notice issued by the FBI.

“Someone knows how to find our mom and bring her home,” Savannah wrote in the caption. She also shared some thoughts in the video.

“Please keep praying without ceasing,” she said. “We still believe. We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home, hope against hope. As my sister says, ‘We are blowing on the embers of hope.’”

“We also know that she may be lost,” she added. “She may already be gone.”

Along with the new reward, the family also donated $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

“We also know that we are not alone in our loss,” Savannah explained. “We know there are millions of families that have suffered with this kind of uncertainty.”

“We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all the families like ours who are in need and need prayers and need support,” she added.
