Mikael Salomon’s “Hard Rain” brought with it fast-paced action, impressive special effects (especially for the time), and an all-star cast that any director would love to have at their disposal.
The movie is set in the small Indiana town of Huntingburg in the midst of a torrential flood, and where a gang attempts to pull off a heist while the residents also try to survive other man-made treachery.
It stars Morgan Freeman and Christian Slater alongside a supporting cast that includes Randy Quaid and Minnie Driver.
Released in the United States on January 16, 1998, the film is fast approaching its 28th anniversary, if you can believe that.
