Nick Reiner has been named a person of interest in the shocking deaths of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.
Just three months before the tragedy, Nick Reiner was seen celebrating with his family at the Los Angeles premiere of “This Is Spinal Tap II: The End Continues” on September 9 at the Egyptian Theater.
Photos from the event show Rob Reiner joined by his wife, Michele, and their three children — Nick, Jake, and Romy. Rob’s adoptive daughter, Tracy, from his late ex-wife Penny Marshall, was not in attendance.

Nick stood amid his family with a noticeably serious expression.
As of Monday morning, Page Six reported that Nick is being held at Parker Center Jail in Downtown Los Angeles, with his bail set at $4 million. He was taken into custody at 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, and booked at 5:04 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Times.
Rob and Michele were found dead inside their home with “lacerations consistent with a knife,” TMZ reported.
Tributes Pour in for Rob & Michele
GettyTributes for Rob and Michele continue to pour in. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood expressed sadness over the loss of a legend.
Ben Stiller called Rob’s death “a huge loss,” while Kathy Bates remembered him as a “brilliant and kind” man.
Jamie Lee Curtis and her husband, Christopher Guest, released a joint statement, saying, “Christopher and I are numb and sad and shocked about the violent, tragic deaths of our dear friends Rob and Michele Singer Reiner and our ONLY focus and care right now is for their children and immediate families and we will offer all support possible to help them.”
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called it a “devastating loss for our city and our country.”
Former President Barack Obama said in part, “Michelle and I are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Rob Reiner and his beloved wife, Michele.”
Rob is best known for his work in films, including “This Is Spinal Tap,” “Stand by Me,” “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally,” and more.
