Italian actress Sophia Loren is beloved for her work in the entertainment industry, and she has had an incredible career. Her extensive film portfolio includes “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” “Two Women,” “A Special Day,” and, as recently as 2020, “The Life Ahead.” But Loren is also celebrated for her beauty.
At 91, she is still stunning, but old photos from the ‘50s and ‘60s are a wonderful way to look back on the incredible life she has lived.

GettyThe Life & Legacy of Sophia Loren
GettyLoren has continued to work into her 80s, and in a rare interview with Deadline in November 2024, she revealed that she has no intention of stopping. Speaking of having a career that has spanned over 70 years, she said her “secret is never to have a plan B.” She continued, “So that when you are faced with an obstacle you find insurmountable, you don’t end up taking the easy way out. You take a deep breath, push on, and find the right solution to your problem as you have no choice but to move forward. No plan Bs, only a plan A.”
She has been incredibly successful, she is multitalented, she is gorgeous, and she is smart, but Loren is not content with sitting back now and thinking about the legacy she leaves behind. “I don’t want to think about legacy,” she told Deadline. “I want to think about my next movie. I’ll think of legacy once I retire, and I hope never to retire.”
Loren is humble about her achievements, and in an interview with Variety, she said she “never felt like a pioneer.” She continued, “I feel like a mother and a working actress who every day tries to do the best she can. If my work can inspire women to have the courage to follow their own dreams and be themselves, that makes me very happy.” Truly, a living legend.
