Emmy-Winning Hit ‘The White Lotus’ REVEALS Location for Season 4

The White Lotus” is preparing for its next chapter, with creator Mike White and HBO setting the stage for Season 4 at another dazzling luxury destination.

The Emmy-winning series will once again unfold inside a Four Seasons resort, keeping fans guessing about which breathtaking location will become the backdrop for more scandal, satire, and murder.

Mike White & the crew are officially heading to France for its highly anticipated fourth season. HBO and creator Mike White have zeroed in on the country as the next backdrop for the Emmy-winning anthology series, Deadline reports.

French Riviera, Paris & The Alps in Consideration

Speculation is swirling around the renowned Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a glamorous Four Seasons property situated on the tip of the French Riviera, with strong Hollywood ties due to its proximity to Cannes.

Deadline reported that while Cap-Ferrat is a frontrunner, sources stress that no single hotel has been locked in, and the show may once again use multiple resorts as it did in Thailand for Season 3.

Other options on the table include the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris and the Four Seasons Megève in the French Alps. Each setting would give the show a distinct flavor: the timeless romance of Paris, the dramatic Alpine views of Megève, or the coastal glamour of the Riviera.

Mike White on Shifting the Vibe

“For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular, but there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels,” White said at the end of Season 3 (as reported by Hollywood Reporter).

Cap-Ferrat, though not directly on the beach, echoes the coastal luxury that defined earlier seasons set in Hawaii, Italy, and Thailand.

Megève in the French Alps would represent the most dramatic shift, though cast members have noted that White isn’t fond of cold weather and has previously turned down ski resort suggestions.

Paris, meanwhile, would mark the boldest departure yet, transporting “The White Lotus” into an urban and romantic landscape for the first time.

Production Plans & Emmy Momentum

Deadline reported earlier this year that executives had been scouting European Four Seasons locations, with White originally planning a spring trip before delaying to summer after the whirlwind of Season 3.

The fan-favorite and critically acclaimed HBO series is showing no signs of slowing down, with its third season earning 23 Emmy nominations. As production turns to its next chapter in France, viewers can expect the signature blend of luxury, biting satire, and dark intrigue to unfold against an all-new backdrop.
