Travis Kelce’s Steakhouse Debuts Cocktail With Sweet Nod to Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce is adding a personal touch to his new Kansas City restaurant.

The Chiefs star’s upcoming steakhouse, 1587 Prime, will feature a specialty cocktail named “The Alchemy,” a clear nod to fiancée Taylor Swift’s song of the same name from her 2024 album “The Tortured Poets Department.”

The drink, which debuted in a promotional Instagram Reel this week, is garnished with cucumber, orange peel and rose petals, according to PEOPLE.

In the video, Kelce sampled the cocktail with a grin while co-owner and teammate Patrick Mahomes sat beside him.

“Oh yeah, I see it,” Kelce said in the video, before Mahomes nodded in approval.

“The Alchemy” quickly drew attention from Swift fans, many of whom noted the song is widely believed to be about Kelce.

Its inclusion on the menu signals a subtle but unmistakable tribute to their relationship.

The Restaurant Will Not Be Too Upscale

The restaurant itself, set to open Sept. 17 at the Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City, was developed in partnership with hospitality group Noble 33. Its name, 1587 Prime, combines Mahomes’ jersey number (15) with Kelce’s (87).

While the menu promises an upscale steakhouse experience, it’s the cocktail that has fans buzzing—an intimate nod to the couple’s high-profile romance.

In addition to sophisticated drinks, Mahomes previously told WDAF-TV in March 2024 how the two were looking forward to opening the restaurant.

“Me and Travis have been working on that for awhile. We’re always together. We’re always at these restaurants, and we have a love for bringing people together,” he said.

He also made sure to add that they want the pricing to be reasonable.

“I’m sure there will be some things on there that will be $15,” he noted. “All honesty though, we thought about that and we don’t want to make it too upscale, too high-priced that not everybody can go.”

Engagement Adds to the Celebration

The drink arrives on the heels of Kelce and Swift’s engagement announcement.

On Aug. 26, the couple revealed the news on Instagram, where Kelce shared photos of the proposal and a caption reading, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

Kelce proposed with a custom, old-mine brilliant-cut diamond ring from Artifex Fine Jewelry. The post drew millions of likes and a wave of congratulations from teammates, celebrities and fans.

Just days later, the couple appeared together at a college football game at Arrowhead Stadium, marking their first outing since the engagement.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes were among the first to publicly celebrate the news, while Swift’s inner circle, including Selena Gomez, also offered support.
