Amanda Stanton is opening up about a reality TV opportunity that almost changed the course of her post-“Bachelor” career.
Amanda Stanton RHOC casting came closer than fans may realize.
During a recent appearance on the “Between Us Moms” podcast, Stanton said producers asked her to join “Real Housewives of Orange County.” She decided not to do it.
“I was asked to join ‘Housewives’ years ago,” Stanton said. She said the conversation happened after her time on “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Why Amanda Stanton RHOC Casting Didn’t Happen
GettyStanton said her daughters were the biggest reason she chose not to move forward.
“When the girls were younger, I was like, maybe I would be open to doing something like that,” she said. “But now that they’re in these teenage years, they’re so sensitive, and I don’t want to embarrass them.”
She said that change has also affected how much of her family life she shares publicly.
“I still share a lot on social media, but I don’t share as much about their personal lives or certain things,” Stanton said. “Because this age is tough. So it’s a hard no.”
Her comments offered a clear explanation for why the Amanda Stanton RHOC casting never became a reality.
The ‘RHOC’ Casting Twist That Never Happened
Stanton’s comments add a new “what if” to Bravo casting history.
“Real Housewives of Orange County” has long centered on personal drama, family dynamics and high-profile relationships. Stanton already had experience living parts of her personal life in public after appearing on Ben Higgins’ season of “The Bachelor” in 2016. She later joined “Bachelor in Paradise.”
That made a move into the Bravo world feel plausible, even though it never happened.
For fans who follow both franchises, the idea that Amanda Stanton nearly joined “Real Housewives of Orange County” is the kind of reality TV crossover that would have gotten immediate attention.
Amanda Stanton Is Still Watching the Bravo World
GettyEven though Stanton said no to “RHOC,” she is still interested in Bravo’s orbit.
She said on the podcast that she has not watched much of the “Real Housewives” franchise. But she plans to tune into “Real Housewives of Rhode Island.” Stanton specifically mentioned Ashley Iaconetti, a fellow “Bachelor in Paradise” alum.
“I’m so excited for that,” Stanton said. “That’s gonna be good. She is great TV.”
Life After ‘The Bachelor’
Since her time in Bachelor Nation, Stanton has focused more on family life. She married Michael Fogel in 2022. The couple welcomed daughter Rosie in 2024. Stanton is also mom to daughters Kinsley and Charlie.
For now, Stanton made it clear that joining “Real Housewives of Orange County” is not the right fit for her life. Still, the fact that producers approached her gives Bachelor and Bravo fans a glimpse at a reality TV crossover that almost happened.
