In 2025, former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Brit Eady filed a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo for her time on the show. In the suit, she has alleged defamation, sexual harassment, and emotional distress, particularly from an incident surrounding former “Real Housewives” star Kenya Moore.
According to TMZ, Bravo has officially responded in kind, with plans to fight Eady’s lawsuit.
Bravo Is Asking for Brit Eady’s Lawsuit to Be Dismissed
After receiving Brit Eady’s lawsuit, Bravo has asked for the courts to dismiss the suit.
Per TMZ, Bravo called Eady’s suit, “an attempt to rewrite history — and her own contractual commitments, because she no longer likes the consequences of joining a popular and long-running reality series well known to feature authentic, unscripted dialogue, conflict, drama, and confrontation, along with many other dynamics of a group of women.”
The network also stated that Eady “certainly was not victimized by” the cast.
Eady’s lawsuit stemmed from a controversial moment during Season 16 of “RHOA,” after she attempted to make peace with Kenya Moore.
Moore shut down any hopes of reconciliation. She also went on to display a poster board of explicit images she alleged were of Eady.
Eady later stated that the photos were not of her, per the Independent.
Eady filed the lawsuit in June 2025 in New York, with NBC and production companies True Original and Endemol Shine North America as defendants.
Bravo stated in its response, according to TMZ, that the network assumed no liability for Moore’s actions.
Brit Eady Left ‘RHOA’ After One Season
After filing her lawsuit, Brit Eady also announced her departure from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in July 2025. Eady had only appeared for one season.
On Instagram, she shared a series of photos of herself, stating that she was officially closing her “RHOA” chapter.
“I choose ME, and a lot of ppl can’t say they choose themselves,” Eady wrote of her exit.
She added, “I still have a lot of healing left to do, but you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. I don’t owe anyone closure. I only owe myself to do what’s best for me.”
Meanwhile, Kenya Moore revealed that she also would not be returning to “RHOA” in the near future after the incident with Eady.
“Please know I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected,” Moore wrote on X. “Including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests, and viewers. I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon.”
In Bravo’s response to Eady’s lawsuit, the network shared that Moore had been suspended for her actions against Eady. However, in April 2025, Andy Cohen did not rule out her return.
