Dorit Kemsley scored a legal win in her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Paul “PK” Kemsley after a judge denied his emergency request involving the former couple’s marital home.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star and PK have been at odds over the multimillion-dollar Los Angeles property, where Dorit reportedly continues to live with their two children, Jagger and Phoenix.
PK recently asked the court to intervene and force Dorit to sign an agreement allowing the home to be listed for sale. But during an Aug. 14 hearing, Dorit’s attorney, Samantha Spector, argued that the situation did not warrant emergency action.
The judge agreed, denying PK’s request for temporary emergency orders, according to court documents shared publicly following the hearing.
The decision gives Dorit a victory for now, but it does not settle the larger fight over what will ultimately happen to the house.
PK Kemsley Tried to Force the Sale of Their Home
PK filed the emergency request amid an ongoing dispute over the financial obligations tied to the property.
According to TMZ, PK has been pushing for the house to be sold and has claimed the property is at risk of foreclosure because of outstanding payments. Dorit has challenged that argument, maintaining that her estranged husband has the financial resources necessary to bring the bills current.
The former couple has also offered sharply different accounts of who should be responsible for those expenses.
PK has claimed that he continued paying bills associated with the property for months after moving into his own residence before eventually stopping. He has also accused Dorit of spending significant amounts of money on travel and clothing while payments connected to the home remained outstanding.
Dorit, however, has argued that PK should continue paying the household expenses because he is not currently providing her with formal spousal or child support, according to the outlet.
For the moment, the court was not persuaded that the dispute required the emergency intervention PK requested.
The Aug. 14 court document states that his ex parte application for temporary emergency orders was denied.
That distinction is important. The ruling does not mean Dorit has permanently prevented the house from being sold. Instead, PK was unsuccessful in his attempt to immediately compel her to move forward with a listing.
Another hearing regarding the matter is scheduled for Aug. 26.
Dorit & PK Kemsley Remain Locked in a Contentious Divorce
The fight over the house adds another financial complication to Dorit and PK’s separation.
The longtime couple announced their separation in May 2024 after nine years of marriage. Dorit later filed for divorce in April 2025, seeking primary legal and physical custody of Jagger and Phoenix.
Their marital issues had already become a major part of Dorit’s storyline on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” with the Bravo star speaking candidly about the breakdown of their relationship and the uncertainty surrounding their future.
Now, more than two years after they initially confirmed their separation, the division of their shared life continues to play out in court.
The Aug. 14 ruling means Dorit can remain in the home without being forced by PK’s emergency request to immediately agree to put it on the market. Whether the property will eventually be sold, however, remains an open question as the former couple prepares to return to court.
