Kelly Dodd Jumps In to Defend Former Housewife

Former “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Kelly Dodd was never afraid to speak her mind when it came to her former co-stars, and she continues to do so even now that she’s no longer a part of the series.

Most recently, Dodd shared a video speaking in defense of her former OC co-star, Meghan King, who recently lost temporary custody of her three children, whom she shares with ex-husband Jim Edmonds. In her video, Dodd went on to call King an “excellent mother.”

Kelly Dodd, an RHOC alum, is coming to the defense of her co-star, Meghan King, after Us Weekly reported on Nov. 19 that King had lost temporary custody of her three children to her ex, Jim Edmonds, after an investigation by Child Protective Services.

In a TikTok posted on Wednesday, the day the reports of King losing her children made headlines, Dodd called King “an excellent mother” and asked that her fans “pray for Meghan and her family.”

In her post, Dodd details what may have resulted in Us Weekly’s report that a school employee called CPS, which then led to an investigation and King’s children being taken away temporarily. “So I just got off the phone with Meghan King Edmonds. She said that she gave one of her other twins, Hayes, some Ritalin, I guess. It made her a dangerous mother of her twins,” she began.

She continued, stating that although she and King have had “a lot of differences” and “a lot of fights,” the mother of three “loves those babies.”

“I know for a fact she’s a good mother. She is an excellent mother,” Dodd shared. “I just pray that she gets her babies back. Everyone just pray for Meghan and her family. Those boys and that daughter need their mom.”

Us Weekly reported that the decision to remove King’s children from her care and place them with their father was “made in the past couple of months.” During that time, King was limited to supervised visitation, while Edmonds was granted sole physical custody until a hearing determines whether the arrangement will become permanent.

This development comes on the heels of a tense incident back in May, when King had an altercation with Edmond’s wife, Kortnie Edmonds, further highlighting the tumultuous relationship the exes continue to navigate.

According to People, King and Edmonds, a former MLB player, were married for five years before divorcing in 2019. They share three children: daughter, Aspen, 8, and twins Hart and Hayes, 7. Fans will recall watching the couple together on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” seasons 10-12, with King sharing her journey to become a mother.

  1. Edmonds was a nasty person back when they were married. Controlling and narcissistic. His daughter that lived with him at the time (another marriage) was spoiled and jealous of Megan. She made trouble for Megan as she was in Meganโ€™s house while married to her dad. He is not fit to take those kids. Probably hire someone to do the job.

  2. Megan loves her children so much. She’s an amazing mom. They’re better off with their mom than that rude, narcissistic, abusive father.
    I hope & pray Megan gets her babies back ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜” ๐Ÿ˜ข
