Kyle Richards‘ friendship with PK Kemsley is still making things uncomfortable between her and her fellow “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” castmate Dorit Kemsley, who has been separated from PK since May 2024.
The tension between the trio has been unfolding since season 14, but it took another interesting turn in the second episode of season 15, when Kyle defended PK while Dorit was trying to open up about their children.
What Did Kyle Say About PK?
“The other women have never met PK,” Kyle explained to a producer during one of her confessionals in the December 11 episode. She went on to add that whatever Dorit tells the other ladies about PK, they end up agreeing with her, for example, calling him “a narcissist.”
“I cannot help that I have met this person, and I had experiences with this person, and see him in a different light,” concluded Kyle.
The statements she made during her confessional were in reference to a conversation she had with Dorit and the other “RHOBH” women about a trip Dorit was supposed to take with her children.
Dorit told the ladies that her children, Jagger, 11, and Phoenix, 9, had been planning a trip to Florida to stay with her parents, until she received a letter from a lawyer that PK planned to “block it” just “to be mean.” This move, according to Dorit, hurt her son Jagger especially, who wanted to see his grandfather. Not only this, but PK had also called their children with alternative plans.
“He spoke to Phoenix, and he said, ‘Okay, well, if they’re going, then Daddy’s going to come to Florida, and we’ll stay in a hotel, and you’ll be with me,'” Dorit said.
Kyle suggested Dorit try to “meet in the middle” by letting PK join the Florida trip. “That’s a little bit of a win,” she reasoned. “They can go there and see [their] grandparents. See him.”
But Dorit tried to get Kyle to see her perspective on the situation, insisting that PK was only doing this to “hurt” her.
Kyle’s response to that was, “who knows? We’re not saying, ‘Maybe he is, maybe he’s not.'”
“Really? You can really have the audacity to say, ‘Well, maybe, and maybe not’?” Dorit said during a confessional. “Do you know how to show up 100 percent? Ever? I’m broken. What more proof do you need? You have known me almost ten years. How many times have you seen me this way?”
Where Do Kyle and Dorit Stand Now?
Although Kyle and Dorit appeared to make some progress in their friendship when they vacationed together in the Hamptons in August, Kyle admitted during an Amazon Live stream on September 2 that “there’s some rough patches here and there.” She called it a “work in progress.”
Dorit explained during the “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show” that, “I thought Kyle and I were moving forward, and if we’re going to move forward, we both have to really show that we want to. And so, I’m going slowly because I’m walking with trepidation because I don’t trust.”
“My struggle with Kyle is that I think sometimes I just really expect to feel like my friendship is more important to her than her friendship with him,” Dorit said. “Every time she has the opportunity to make me feel like she’s really showing up…I want to actually see it. I want to feel it. But then, I’m not getting the actions that are matching.”
For her part, Kyle pointed out on the After Show that PK wasn’t happy about Dorit calling him an “alcoholic” on the show in the past, and now, she’s concerned that Dorit is talking about what kind of father he is so publicly.
“As a parent, I’m just thinking, if someone said that about me, my claws are coming out,” Kyle stated. “And I’m not calling her a liar. I’m just saying I know him as a different person than what I’m hearing, and regardless of what’s going on and what he is or is not doing, I don’t think we should say that in this public space that people are going to see on TV in six months.”
Kyle needs to stay out of Dorit & PK’s issues.
If Kyle is a so called friend to Dorit, then act like one!!
For once I agree with Kyle. Never knock your ex husband in front of the whole world. That’s something between you your attorney and soon to be x husband. Maybe tell one truly close girlfriend or family member. But not in front of the whole world for everyone to see. I think Dorit wants pity from everybody especially the whole world. One good thing I’ll say about Kyle is she will not talk bad about Mauricio. And if anybody had the right Kylye certainly does. Kyle will never bad mouth Mauricio cause shehas grown children and Kyle , mother, will always maintain a friendship with him. Even though he doesn’t deserve it. But there is still a lot of love between Mauricio and Kyle. I just hope he realizes what a good wife mother and friend she is . I think he is going what most men go through its called “Mid Life Crisis “Trying to get his youth back. But he is certainly having fun dating like crazy. But Kyle and Mauricio are in my prayers.
