RHOBH Alum Reveals Where She Stands With Former Co-Stars & Andy Cohen 3 Years After Exit

Lisa Rinna shared new details about her stunning exit from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” more than three years ago.

During a February 2026 appearance on Sirius XM’s “The Julia Cunningham Show,” Rinna, 62, said she “knew” her days were numbered after she had an alleged off-camera dustup with co-star Kathy Hilton in Aspen in 2022.

“I knew it,” Rinna admitted to Cunningham. “I saw her publicist, who I’ve known for years, and I know that that’s something they never allow, and I was just like, ;Oh, [expletive] here they come. They’re going to [expletive] kill me.’ I knew it.”

Rinna decided to quit before she was fired. “They literally showed my email of resignation on the next season,” she shared. “Nobody was trying to get me to stay. No one was like, ‘Oh, no, don’t go.’ They said, ‘Go have a meal and just calm down,’ is basically what they said to me, but nobody fought to have me stay. So I think it was very mutual at the end of the day.”

In January 2023, Rinna issued a statement to People magazine to announce her RHOBH exit after eight seasons. “This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career, and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It has been a fun eight-year run, and I am excited for what is to come,” she said at the time.

Her RHOBH resignation email, later shown on the show, was dated Sept. 10, 2022.

During the interview, Rinna revealed that she almost quit RHOBH on camera. “I almost quit at the reunion,” she told Cunningham. “Yeah, I really, I was right there going to do it. Would have, should have, could have, but I was ready to say it, and then, of course, I go home, and I write an email that night and I text everybody and I say, ‘I’m done. That’s it. Right? I’m done.’”

The Rinna Beauty founder admitted that she hit a rough patch with Bravo producer Andy Cohen after he wrote about her exit in his book, “The Daddy Diaries.”

“I’m fine with him today,” she confirmed. “He’s written his own books and done what he’s done. You know, I think he put my personal text messages in his book. … When I read it, and they were personal text messages to basically my boss, and to have them show up in a book, I was like, “Wow, wow, wow.’”

Rinna also appeared on Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” where she admitted that her RHOBH exit was “painful” so soon after the death of her mother, Lois.

“You know my mother had passed away, and you know, truth be told, I should have taken a moment and not maybe done that year and just done the grieving and not done the show,” she admitted. “I think that was where I made a mistake. Because I’m a worker bee, and I’m like I have a contract. I got to go do it, and I was not in a headspace to do. …So, it was a really, really difficult ending to that chapter. I was in a lot of pain, and I’m totally different now.”

Rinna told Lewis she is still in touch with four of her former castmates regularly.

“I’m happy to tell you… Erika [Jayne], Kyle [Richards], Teddi [Mellencamp], Dorit [Kemsley],” she said. “And that’s it. “

“Today I am in a much better place, obviously, than I was three years ago,” the RHOBH alum added. “I mean, I have been really fortunate. I’m glad that it ended. I’m really happy to not be a Housewife, to not be in that world anymore. I really love where I am now. I’m an actor at the end of the day, you know.”
