In her Story, Rose shared a sweet tribute to the pup: “Rocky was the sweetest and best boy. Everyone who met him fell in love with him and would mention how they had never met a dog like him. So many beautiful memories with him, he gave us so much love.”

In her post, Rose also said that Rocky suffered a stroke a few days before his passing. In a second Story, she shared a photo of her family surrounding Rocky, as well as the family that took him in. Rose wrote that her family had to give Rocky over to a close friend “due to asthma.” The family that the Roses gave Rocky to just so happened to have raised his mom, Pippa.

Fans who follow Rose on Instagram remember the reality star sharing sweet photos and images alongside Rocky before having to give him up.

Rose’s Friend Details Rocky’s Final Days

Rose’s friend, Lauren Weekley, who took ownership of Rocky, shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post.

Sharing videos of her and her family’s time together with Rocky, as well as Rose’s family with Rocky on his final day, she touchingly wrote, “Grief has a way of breaking you open and reminding you what really matters. It’s taught me to love deeper, to keep my heart open even when it hurts, and to never take love for granted. Maybe grief never ends… because love never does and that’s a beautiful thing, not a bad thing. Rocky and Pippa, together again.”

One of Weekley’s Instagram Highlights was titled “Rocky Boy,” where she gave updates on his condition following his stroke. In her highlights, she asked followers for help and shared more insight on how her family acquired Rocky from the Roses.

“We got Rocky just over a year ago. He actually came from one of our good friends they had him since he was a puppy. What makes it even more special … Rocky’s mom was our dog, Pippa,” she wrote.

“Then last year, our friend’s daughter started having severe allergic reactions to Rocky so bad she ended up in the ICU. They couldn’t keep him anymore, and we said we’d take him for as long as they needed. But as time went on, it became clear he wasn’t going back.”

Weekley shared that Rocky had sadly passed away at the age of 8, the same age as his mom.
