Teddi Mellencamp looks gorgeous in a new post showing off how she looks both with and without her wig. The “RHOBH” star asked fans to weigh in on whether or not she should don the hairpiece, explaining that she was having a hard time deciding that day.
Mellencamp, who is battling stage 4 cancer, first shaved her head in February before undergoing surgery to remove several tumors from her brain. At the time she was upbeat about it, calling her shaved locks, “My best look,” in an Instagram story.
Now, Mellencamp’s hair has grown out a bit and she absolutely pulls off her short, bright blonde ‘do. However, she does wear a wig sometimes, often during her podcast with “RHOC” star Tamra Judge, “Two Ts In A Pod.”
Fans Overwhelmingly Voted for Mellencamp’s No-Wig Look
Mellencamp included a poll along with the video clip she posted, and the choices were “Wig!” and “No wig, rock that buzz cut!” There were over 13 thousand votes and 90% chose the “No wig” option.
There was a lot of love in the comments as well, from fans and friends. Mellencamp’s Bravo family has been super supportive of her throughout her cancer journey, and this was no exception.
“RHOA” alum Sheree Whitfield commented, “No wig, gorgeous!!! both look good but everyone can’t wear short hair and it looks amazing on u! ❤️🙏🏽,” and former “RHONY” cast member Aviva Drescher wrote, “You’re so incredibly stunning. Either way. Hair, no hair, short hair … a paper bag. You can’t look anything but amazing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
Kameron Wescott of “The Real Housewives of Dallas” chimed in to say, “No wig! You’re gorgeous!!” and “RHONJ” OG Jacqueline Laurita agreed, writing, “No wig!”
Teddi Mellencamp Concluded Her Post With Important Advice
Throughout Mellencamp’s health issues, she has always used her platform to help inform her fans. Not just in terms of personal updates, but explaining the importance of getting regular skin cancer screenings.
The “RHOBH” alum was first diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, and in April she announced it had spread to her lungs and her brain. Mellencamp recently shared on her podcast that her doctors found an “abnormal spot” during her latest skin check, and urged her fans to get skin checks no matter what other health issues they’re facing.
In Mellencamp’s wig or no wig post, she made sure to add in at the end of her caption, “Also, while you’re here, schedule that skin check.”
