‘Duck Dynasty’ History
“Duck Dynasty” first hit A&E in 2012 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon.
Viewers were drawn into the lives of the Robertson family of West Monroe, Louisiana, whose duck call company, Duck Commander, was the foundation of both their livelihood and their television success.
The show highlighted the humor, faith, and family traditions of patriarch Phil Robertson, his wife Kay, Phil’s brother Si, and Phil’s sons Willie, Jep, and Jase Robertson.
At the center of the series was Willie Robertson, now 53, alongside his wife Korie and their children, including Sadie Robertson and John Luke Robertson. Their family dynamic, mixed with the larger Robertson clan’s antics, carried the show across 11 seasons until it concluded in 2017.
Nearly a decade later, A&E revived the beloved franchise with “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” in 2025.
This new chapter shifted the focus to Korie and Willie, now 51 and 53, as well as their grown children and grandchildren. The series premiered shortly after the passing of family patriarch Phil Robertson, adding a heartfelt layer to the show’s return.
